Give reasons why you believe your answer. I have my own beliefs and theories on this, some evidence based on facts. I believe the earth is a bit over 7,000 years old!!

In the question CaSO4 <--> Ca + SO4
Ksp=[x][x]

Now in this question:

AgC2H3O2<--> what does it produce? Ag and C2H3O2, or Ag, 2C, 3H and 2O, or something different? I can't finish the problem until I know what the equation would be. Does anyone have an educated guess? Help would be VERY much appreciated. 10 points to the person who explains what the answer is AND WHY! Thanks guys.

As a teacher, how can I use inexpensive materials to build a demonstration of the speed of sound? [And, in a similar vein of thought, is there a way a layman can demonstrate the speed of light?

Ok, I am a scrapbooker. I make albums using the double page layout style. This means pages facing each other are one layout, theme, picture event (ie birthday, camping, vacation, etc.). Not counting the first page in the book or the last page, how can I figure out how many individual pages I will need if I know that I will have X number of events in my album. One more detail. pages are used back to back. this means that if I have two double page layouts I only need 3 actual pages because the middle page front and back acts as one-half of each layout. Thanks for not making me reach far back in my brain and dig out the algebra! :)

It might seem a stupid question but think about it. The sun is 150 million kilomters away from the sun. Which means that the Earth's inclined rotational (and relatively small) distance shifting our point of view from the sun should not have an effect on the sun's visible brightness. So what's the main reason?

A professor when I was in grad school once asked this question. Say you're in a spaceship in orbit near the horizon of supermassive black hole --- i.e. one which is large enough that tidal effects are negligible for you. (And say it's nonspinning.) You try to put your (spacesuit-shielded) fist in hole. What happens?

I suspect the best answer may be "you get bored, pull your hand back and go home because it seems to be taking forever for your hand to move inwards as far as your brain is concerned". But I'd like to see your comments! (Not for homework: just curious!)
