By smoking 2 or 3 cig.. a day,reduce the chances of pregnancy?Does having folic acid pills better the chances of pregnancy?pls help me ans these questions.Thank you.

I bought these tests because they were cheaper than other brands. I took one of the test this evening and two dark lines appeared. I then opened a second test just to make sure and applied my urine sample...sure enough two dark lines once again. Should I assume that this is accurate? Or could it be a false positive? If I estimated right I would be about 7weeks along. Would love to hear some input.

I'm 35 wks pregnant and it is getting closer for my doc to start checking my cervix for dialation and im so scared. Just the thought of him putting his whole hand inside me is freaking me out!! Some say it hurts like hell, and some say it doesnt. Is there anyway to ease the discomfort of this?

Ok...I am 8 months pregnant..I am going to school, to become a Medical Assistant. Met her, knew what the score was. Signed up for great sex and partys.
She "forgot" to take birth control and now shes pregnant with "my" baby. She gave up hooking, and treats me like her personal servant. Not even sex now.
I dont believe in abortion, so ive taken the responsibility and am trying to make a go of things.
Shes been pregnant 6 times to 6 different men. 1st adoption, 2nd fostered out at 12. 3rd & 4th aborted. 5th living with father.

Right now the nausea is so bad. This is not a "Am I pregnant? kinda question.Okay yesterday I missed one of my birth control pills so i had to take two today at around 2 o clock. I was in school all day and barely ate anything so when i got home I was starving. So I got something to eat and went to sleep for a couple hours. When I got up I felt like I wanted to throw up and it hasnt gone away. I ate a little bit but that just seemed to make it worse. What do you think it could be and how can I ease the feeling?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant, and I love horse back riding. I don't get to go often, but I had an oppurtunity recently, so I grabbed it and figured I'd be careful. The doctor never said I couldn't go riding. I was careful, but we did spend 15 minutes or so cantering and trotting.
My question is... is this safe to do or is this an exercise I should avoid? If it is safe, when should I stop?
I don't look or feel pregnant, so it's tough to limit myself when there's activities that interest me.
However, I'm more concerned with the welfare of the baby!

For 2 weeks this baby has had his head in my pelvis, My hips are so sore I can hardly walk, let alone take care of my 3 other kids. I don't want to do the castor oil thing(Its a laxitive and can induce labor by giving you diarreha, not my idea of fun...), is there anything else I can do? I tried going for a long walk the other day, but it is too icey outside.

im in my third month and getting my first ob/gyn appt on wednesday...my ob/gyn office has ultrasound machine inside the facility...but i was wondering since i will be 13 weeks with no ultrasound already,will they most likely give me one then and there or will they have to schedule one for next appt? and did u get an ultrasound at your 1st appt? p.s btw i kinda have irregular cycles.

I am 6 months pregnant and will be a single parent. I feel like I am consumed with my child. If I talk to a friend, I seem to always talk about my pregnancy or the things that have been going on with my body and the changes taking place.
I dont want my friends to think that thats all I talk about, but at the same time, thats what is on my brain.
Is this normal or am i obsessed? Do other first time expectant mothers do the same thing?

Note: I was told for 20 years I would never be a mommy due to reproductive problems, so this is a true miracle for me to have this happen.

I had my period in December and had unprotected sex a few days after. I haven't had a period yet and no cramping or anything like that. In December I had unprotected sex (stupid i know, dont want to hear about it) a few times Christmas week, which would have been around when I was fertile. A week or two after that I began experiencing just about every early pregnancy symptom there was. I didn't think it was a sign of my period since I've never felt any symptoms of pms or my period coming on ever in my life, so I'd think that It would be a little strange for them all to start right now. Anyway they continued and then I got my period about 5 days late. It wasn't any heavier or lighter than usual, but only lasted about 2 days opposed to 4. After this I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative, but I continue to have the symptoms along with a few new ones (back pain, increased appetite, weight gain). How big of a chance is there that I'm actually pregnant just still having a period and not showing up on a urine test? I'm 17 and have always had a somewhat irregular cycle up until the past few months if that helps
