First has she talked with her doctor about the delivery options and how she want things done? She can opt for a c-section. As for when they are born i reccomend trying to organize and schedule the twins. that way the twins will be taken care of and nothing will get left undone. There will hopefull be less stress in careing for them. And as always never ever leave the house with less the ten diapers and a box of wipes.

The first few months can be overwhelming. I hope that she has lots of help. If her and her husband can get some help especially when they first come home so that they can get some sleep while someone else watches the babies for a few hours. I remember my husband and I had huge bags under our eyes. My best advice would to be write down when they eat and when she changes their diapers so she can keep track of this. When you are overtired this all becomes a blur. Also, feed them at the same time and keep them on the same schedule even if this means waking one up to feed. It is really hard but fun and rewarding.

Don't make eye contact with anyone when you go out in public or you will NEVER get anything accomplished. People treat twins like celebrities, and everyone will be stopping to comment on them.

My husband and I counted the number of people who commented on our twins once during an hour and a half trip to the mall. It surpassed 50 and we quit counting.

I too have twins. Only twins. Keep them on the same schedule. We both did the 11:00p.m. feeding. I did the 2:30a.m.- when one woke up, I fed and changed it, and woke the other for the same. He did the 6:00a.m., as he had to get up for work. This way we each had a large time frame of sleep!!

Accept help with them when it is offered, ask for help when it's not. She is not going to believe how awesome twins are! But they are SO much work! Loving relatives and friends will be chomping at the bit to help - and it is so ok to accept it. I don't have twins - but my sister did 18 years ago - they are so precious still! I was 16 - and it was such an honor to be able to assist with loving, caring for and nurturing them!

Best wishes for a safe delivery and healthy, bouncing baby boys!

Me and my sister were both premies. My mom always says she would have let people help her more, instead of saying she was fine.

The first time shes home alone with them, she needs someone besides herself. You can change two diapers at a time and all that...

rest when you can, don't sweat the small stuff, go with the flow. don't force them into a schedule, it doesnt often work and makes everyone miserable, they will eventually settle into a schedule, usually within a couple months.
