Pregnancy - January 2007

I am 36 weeks pregnant and have been having light contractions about 5-10 minutes apart for two days. I woke up this morning and the contractions had slowed way down put I feel like someone has kicked me in the groin. It feels bruised and every time I stand up my pelvic bones hurt. I called my doctor and she said that she's never heard anyone waking up with that pain but it sounds like ligaments stretching and that usually happens when you are on your feet a lot. I have been on bedrest for a week and a half so that couldn't be why I hurt. I am on pregnancy number three and have never wxperienced this pain before. can anyone please help me figure out what this is because my midwifes expalnation doesn't make sense to me??

rite am 11weeks pregnant i have had some rib painonmy right side its like somethingo is pressing againt my rib but am not sure if it is cause that rib was bruised when a fell down a 20ft tree about 5yrs ago and bruised that rib and still get a stitch from it now and then but more concerned is that it can be uncomfortable alot and sometimes even painful and am not sure if is because of the baby or is affectin the baby i have my apt on tuesday with the midwife so i will discuiss it with her then but anybody with any experience might know what it could be or how i can sort it also i have asthma so am not sure if that can also be a cause

I am 39 weeks pregnant and I have the worst heartburn ever. I have it so bad that it causes me to throw up and I have bad sharp chest pains. I have tried Tums and some of the other over the counter medication that my doc said I could but nothing is helping. Please what is going on and how can I stop it?

My stomach sticks out like really far, I could put a teacup on it, and also, I was throwing up a lot a couple months ago, not so much now. Also, my period stopped, but my best friend says that's because I've gone vegan since last fall.

Also, there's this big, pink thing trying to squeeze out of my uterus. It's like really big.

Could I be pregnant?

okay im seven months pregnant right now and just like two days ago i wiped myself u know where n i saw a little bit of blood on the tilet paper! should i worry? there was a little bit of blood the next morning too! nothin comes out now but im just worrying about those two days. also this morning after i got out of bed my nose started bleeding too for like two minutes ...my nose has bled before i got pregnant a couple of times but i didnt really care that much but now im pregnant and im worried! i know i should ask my doctor but i dont have an appointment until like two weeks and i dont wanna wait that long! please answer my questions ...should i worry?

Just finished with my period a day ago, however me and my boyfriend just had (unprotected)sex right before I had my period and I noticed that my stomach has gotten noticeably bigger. I haven't been eating much either so I don't know if I could still be pregnant.

I hated the whole thing. I couldn't eat pasta (and I LIVE for speghetti) and it was the hottest summer I've ever seen in my life around the thime I was pregnant. That's why I said I'd never have anymore after I gave birth to my first (and only) child.

I'm 38 weeks pregnant & been having what I thought was labor pains. I went to doctor & he said they are contractions but they're not "real" contraction & he sent me home... what did that mean? Did he mean they were Braxton Hicks contractions or something else... Anyone plz help

Will I be able to not only prevent stretch marks from this baby, but eliminate the sliver ones from my daughter 8 years ago?

Also, I am smaller with this baby, so does that mean less stretch marks this time?

And the last question: What are the chances I will stretch in the same areas?

This thursday the doc told me that I was in the early stages of labor at 37 weeks 100% dilated and 4cm. Contractions have been 7-8 minutes apart. From time to time I'll get some really bad contractions in my back and feel tons of pressure. I told the doc but he told me to stay home. I have GBS, Rh Factor as well as miscarried at 20 weeks last year. Should I talk to a different doctor about options? Walking works great and really gets them going but he wants either my water to break or 5 minutes apart on contractions. I'm really tired, weak and swelling really good in my feet. I have always been two weeks ahead in growth but think this will never end. Should I worry or wait for 5 minute spaced contractions. I need some advice ASAP. I don't want a sick baby. thanks.

I am two and a half months pregnant, and I don't go in for my ultrasound until the end of February. Is it possible to feel the baby's heartbeat? My boyfriend and I check like 3 times a day, and we can feel a heartbeat on the left side and another on the right. Is it possible that we are having twins?

I'm sure this has been asked before but. My best friend miscarried recently at 24 weeks. Like most mothers, she loved her baby more than anything and she's completely devestated, for lack of a better word. The real thing is, I'm wondering what I could do for her? She's no stranger to hardship (She's only 18 and an orphan) and I'm afraid she might do something really rash. I'm trying to be there for her, but it's hard to see her like this. I'm only 16, so I'm at a loss of what I can do. Please please help.

My friend is 39 weeks pregnant, and desperate to get the baby out as she is suffering from pelvic problems, and is supposed to be on complete bed rest. She has tried a bumpy car ride, and sex, andraspberry leaf tea, curry etc, but to no avail. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!

I am due with our second child in mid February. I breastfed our first child for a few weeks, but ended up switching to formula after having a lot of problems. So, we are planning on formula feeding this time around. My question is, do I need to bring formula and bottles to the hospital? Or do they provide that for me? I have a few cans of Enfamil I received in the mail and would like to start our baby off on it.
