I am two and a half months pregnant, and I don't go in for my ultrasound until the end of February. Is it possible to feel the baby's heartbeat? My boyfriend and I check like 3 times a day, and we can feel a heartbeat on the left side and another on the right. Is it possible that we are having twins?

I do get extremely tired, and take two naps during the day, and sleep ten hours at night. Also, I do get extremely bad heartburn, or did, I finally got in under control. Also, I am showing a great deal, but this is my first pregnancy, so I don't know what is normal. Also, I use the bathroom like ever 30 minutes. Is this normal?

Doctors can hear the heartbeat or heartbeats by 6 weeks. I have never felt a heartbeat with my hand. I had twin girls in Nov. The only difference with my multiple pregnancy was how tired I was. But most of the multiples moms I have talked to said they had double the tiredness, morning sickness, heartburn. You will probably show earlier than you would with a single baby. If you find out you are having twins then congrats. It is a wonderful experience. My girls are almost 3 mths and beautiful.

If this is the only symptom that you are having, then I would say no. First you would look close to four months, so you would be showing. Second, it is nearly impossible to even hear a baby's heartbeat using a homedevice until the end of your second trimester, into your third. WHat you are feeling, is your own heartbeat. Wait for the ultrasound, it may tell you that you are, but don't count on it.

Sorry Hun there's no way you can feel a heartbeat through your own stomach without the right machine the sound your hearing is most likely your own heartbeat, at two and a half months i was really big as i was having twins and even i couldn't feel anything, even towards the end i had a 67 inch waist and couldn't feel anything at all that felt like a heart beat,

All of those things are normal in pregnancy. YOu could be having twins but my guess is that the heartbeat is echoing in there. I thought the same with my last one and it was just his heartbeat echoing. The dr. even found the heartbeat on opposite sides and it was only one.

No, you aren't feeling the baby's heartbeat. The baby's heartbeat does start around week 6 though. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and saw my baby's heart beating during my ultrasound.

What are you attempting to listen to the heartbeat with? Most home devices won't register at 10 wks. Sometimes the ob/gyn's device won't register the baby's heartbeat at 10 wks. So it's very unlikely that you're discovering twins. You would probably have other symptoms at 10 wks as well- increased uterine size and more..

no not possible to tell with a home device, but is possible to have twins, anything is possible. but you're doing what all expectants do when pregnant, wondering about twins. the sound is through out your belly. and remember your heartbeat will be heard too. the baby's heartbeat is a swish swish sound. but im sure you've heard it. good luck and be patient! btw congrats on the pregnancy!

You are feeling your pulse. The doc. should pick up one or more heartbeats with a doppler by now. Women that are pregnant with twins usually have very extreme moning sickness & their abdomen gets bigger a lot sooner.

It is your own pulse. There is more blood in your body now so you can feel a pulse in more places. The heartbeat only be heard with a doppler now if at all.
