Pregnancy - December 2006

I had unprotected sex about three weeks ago. For the past week or so I have been feeling very weird. I feel like im depressed for no reason and I just cry for no reason. I havent been feeling like my normal self. I really just want to lie down and sleep when I get emotional like this. It seems like im happy one minute then the next im depressed. Everybody has asked me whats wrong when I start to look depressed but I can never give them an answer cause there really isnt anything wrong. Im not stressed about anything. I know its not PMS cause im not due for my period for another week or so (and i never get PMS anyway, except for the light cramps the day it comes on). I just wanted to know if anyone experienced this in early pregnancy. Thank u for your help!

im worried about tearing when i deliver my second baby. i had a episiotomy during the birth of my first and am worried i will tear along the old wond. how have your subsequent deliveries gone following being cut durring labour?

the "13" year old that was so proud she had an abortion in August then got pregnant again later that month? She claimed she was having twins and one died. Most of what she said was an obvious lie. Was she unable to think of any more lies?

Chad and I REALLY want to have sex but we're afraid we'll hurt the baby if we do. I'm craving it but I don't know so should I or can i? I'm just SO afraid to hurt the baby!! I'm having all the contractions and stuff so I dodn't think it's safe so PLZ help!!!

I do really well in school and want to continue my education and go to college. Is it possible to keep my high GPA while pregant and still be able to go to college? If anyone has anything bad to say, don't even bother posting.

Im 37+ weeks and have been 4 cm dialated and fully effaced for almost a week but baby was still way up, I woke up this morning with a ton of pressure and my belly is dropped way low, I already lost my "bloody show" and still bleeding a little. I feel really tired and sick today. How much longer until things just go? baby himself is measuring over 42 weeks.

About once every 1 1/2 weeks, i forget to take my birth Control pills at my normal time-9:00pm.
well, when i normally wake up the next morning i take the pill, around 10:00 am.

Signs of Not:
-I have missed my period before, and had my period the next month.
-i weigh 106 lbs and i'm 5"4, so i'm small.

Signs of pregnancy:
- I have been eating everything
-I have been peeing more than normal.
-missed pills


can everyone give me some help. Please.

I know the only way to find out it to get a test, but i am young so i don't have a car to go get one.

any info will help.

Hi. I am a 15 year old female, and im very scared/worried. My boyfriend and i engaged in unprotected sex 4 weeks ago. I am aware it was a STUPID decision..we were caught up in the moment and not really thinking. Well, He was only in for a little while, and i made him pull out at the first sign of "getting the feeling," although he wasn't even close. After that, i gave him oral sex for at least 10 minutes, until he came. I was wondering, what are the chances of me being pregnant? I know i can trust him, and he swears up and down that he wasn't even close, and i even brought up the subject of pre-*** to him. I also mentioned how i read that if the male hasn't urinated since the last ejaculation, leftover sperm could be pushed through the urethra. He says he CAN feel it happen, that it happened while i was giving him oral sex, and that he urinated that morning. (We had sex at about 9:00am.)I've been having stomach pains, but they're not only in my stomach, i also get them in my chest and back, and my ribs are sore, so im not sure if that is a symptom of pregnancy. I'm just VERY scared that i could possibly get pregnant. I forgot to mention that i was on the last or second to last day of my period.

My boyfriend and his guy friends tell me not to trip, but i can't help it! I'm not ready to hae a baby yet, but my boyfriend and i have been together for 2 years and we're closer than most couples. I may be 15, but i realize what a mistake i've made and i know it was a stupid decision. I've talked with him about birth control, and we both agreed that for sure we'll use condoms. We had sex after that time, but he wore a condom AND i didn't let him ejaculate while we had sex.

My periods are almost never regular, and i'm pretty sure that's normal with girls my age, and i've heard me stressing about this (which i have been-at some points i'd just break down and cry, and i assume every ache and pain is because of pregnancy.) I don't know!

had ultrasound done yesterday and baby had heartbeat but they seen some blood coming from my pacenta and egg sak in between them. has anyone had this problm i am on bed rest and i hope the bleeding stops. i just have to use a panty liner. please help me. has anyone had this and been on progestrone and how many weeks alond?

Im 27 weeks prego with my second kid. I have had restless legs all my life, but during only this pregnancy it has gootten so bad it wakes me up, and even prevents me from sleeping in the first place. I asked my reg doc and my OB on some suggestions, other than stretches and warm massages or showers... They just dont help... My OB said a few tums before bed should help but it hasnt. All my blood and vitamins and other things are normal... so there is no explanation there. I dont know how to get some sleep. I hate pacing the floor every night like a zombie. What have you done to stop this madness?

Hello My name is Carmen I am having a C-Section on Friday Dec. 15th because my baby weighs about 9 lbs 14 oz as of Wed. the 6th she is also breech and the doctor says she most likeley wont turn by the time I go into labor. She is also concerned about her weight I had 2 other kids one weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz and the other 7 lbs 12 oz. she says this one is really big and doesn't want to take any chances. Any advice from moms who have had c-sections it will really help

She had an abortion, but I think she had to go back a second time. They didn't get everything the first time so she had to go back again a week later to make sure. What are the chances of her getting pregnant now? Normal, no chance, or some chance?

I got my last period Nov. 23 but it only lasted 2 days. I had sex(unprotected) for the first time on Nov. 29. Is it still possible to get pregnant even if I was iregular? Also, if I take a home pregnancy test, will it be acurate; or how long do I have to wait to take one? I've been sick with the flu or something for about 3 weeks and I started dieting around the same time so I think thats why I was iregular.

I've done a lot of research on differin's safety - it's absorption topically is minimal and research in pregnant rats showed toxicity only at very high oral doses. There is no hard evidence that it is harmful and of course no randomized studies in pregnant women to show it is absolutely safe. From what I have read, it does seem to be relatively benign and actually falls in the same pregnancy class as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid - all category C. But, given that it is a retinoid-like compound and related to the hightly teratogenic oral Accutane, most doctors are not willing to consider it's use in pregnant women.

Just wondering if anyone has used differin while pregnant and if your doctor was okay with that.

I am currently in my 28th week of pregnancy. I am returning (from US) to India (Chennai) soon for the delivery.

My questions are pertaining to the procedure for hospitalisation for Labour and delivery. I plan to go the leading hospital in Chennai. I have some Q’s; Some advise please. I would really not like to get off on the wrong foot with the doctor.

1. Like in the US & UK, do the doctors here consider requests for the kind of delivery, childbirth one would like to have. For example- I would like to walk around during the initial stage; I would not like to labour reclined in the bed. I would prefer a more natural position, etc.

2. My next question – I really do not want an enema. I have a major phobia about it. Is it true that Indian hospitals insist on one?

I would very much appreciate it if any of you could educate me on the custom, Procedure. I don’t wish to offend the doctor who may be assisting me.
