You HAVE to either bath or shower everyday while you are on your period, other wise people can SMELL that you are on your period, and it is gross. I prefer to shower, unless i am either just starting, or just ending. But it doesn't run down my leg or anything in the shower, just sometimes i will see a spot of blood on the bottom of the shower. Sorry, my answer is kind of gross too, but i just wanted to answer the best i could.

Hi Sabrina,
Yes, you can still shower or bathe. If you use tampons, put in a fresh one before bathing. If you don't use tampons, you might be a bit more comfortable with a shower so that you can rinse off, then go directly to the toilet and tend to business. Have your clean pads and underwear ready, of course.
It's not a stupid question by any means so don't be embarrassed about asking.

Yea well if you were a pad and not a tampon then I'm sure your not going to start over flowing by the time you take your clothes off and jump in the shower. But you still need to put soap or Femine's eve on a wash cloth and wash real good down there. It is unsaitary not to wash when you are on your period. You smell bad because of your period. Like when a female dog is in heat and the dogs smell it. . .Guys or girls might can smell you if you dont wash right.

When I have my period, YES I still take showers. No the blood doesn't drip in the shower but as soon as you turn off the water, yes it drips but not bad. You just have to hurry up and stick the tampon in or put your undies with a pad on.

umm if you don't shower or bathe during your period you're going to have a lot of stray dogs after you and I'm not talking about the two legged kind I mean the four legged kind. Of course those will be the only ones who will want you around as your stench will keep everyone else away from you.

Always shower when you on your period otherwise you'll smell like fish. You need to clean yourself more than usual during this time. You cant see the blood when you in the shower, it gets washed away immediately. right when you turn the water off though make sure you have a tampon ready though because that's when it will drip down you leg!

Well, the blood is not constantely dripping out. A little might after the shower, so you need to put on underwear and a pad quickly, but as your showering, it does not just drop out.

You CANNOT get an infection in the vagina if you bathe while menstruating!
However, you can become a magnet for unwanted sniggles and snide remarks if you don't bathe/shower at all while menstruating!
So...your best bet would be to find a way to keep the kitty clean while menstruating; even if it means stuffing a tampon, pad, or paper towel between your legs while bathing/showering...even if it means the blood runs down and forms a pubble in the tub.
RINSE YOUR LEG(s) OFF and KEEP THE KITTY CLEAN!

Why in the hell would you not shower? ewww...you'd smell like a dead fish. You know, you could always have the underwear and pad ready to go in the bathroom, before you shower, so when you get out, just slip them in; tampon as well. I actually shower more, once I'm on my period.

No more gross than not taking a shower. I have a massaging shower head that is removable and I use that to rinse myself at the beginning of my shower.
