Is it more painful/difficult to give birth when you are overweight? For example because you're generally less fit, less flexible, doesn't the fat get in the way when you need to stretch so much during birth?

If it measures correct for your date....I'm 28wks. Then does that also mean the baby IS growing properly?

ok. im on birth control and i take it everyday at the right time and i always use a condom just one time the condom broke. should i be worried? also if there any chance i could get pregent when i just got over my period and i took my first active pill sunday and it was on it?and i dont want any 13-16 year olds sayin stuff if they dont know what there tlkin bout. this is serious. and dont tell me ovious stuff i already know. please and thank you

I just read from this site that pregnant women should not eat deli meats because of something called (lyseria) sp?? IDK But that means I cant Subway or Quiznos!! Thats like the best food ever!!!

I concieved on september 12,and after that i waited one week and took a home pregnancy test and it said negative.Then when my monthly period was suppose to come, it didn't come, i don't know if i'm pregnant or not.if i was i would be one month pregnant.i had some symptoms already. please help me i'm deperate to find out.

I know I am a worrier, but I can hardly walk my pubic bone is so sore. I hurts to even touch it. Standing up does not bother me but walking almost brings me to tears..is this normal and what exactly is causing it. It doesn't feel like pressure that I normally felt with my other 2 pregnancies. PLEASE HELP..

My period just finished on Oct 4. seems like after my period i started getting nausea and headaches almost everyday. me and my hubby have been married for 3 yrs and we have been using the "pull out" method ever since and i have never gotten pregnant. TWO months ago we talked about having kids, so we decided to have kids. ive been off birth control for a year now. yesterday i ran to the toilet to throw up but nothing came out. my sense of smell got stronger, i can smell things that my husband cant. what do you thing this could be? if im pregnant, wouldnt it be too early to be getting symptoms?

Okay Me and my husband have been together for 5 years and married for 2 now. We are still very much in love and are expecting our first baby any day now. He just recently started a new job, closer to home (he is an engineer) and said the work is easier but a lot more of it. We just got news that the baby could be here anyday now instead of 3 weeks (because Im supposed to be 37 weeks). Since we got that news he seems to not want to be intimate with me. I mean he will tell me he loves me and gives hugs and kisses but no sex. I asked him about it and he said he has just not been in the mood, he is stressed at work and so on. But I also know he is a little scared about me going into labor. I know its not cheating because we are to close and I know he wouldnt do anything like that, I trust him more than anything. Do you think its just stress or is he not wanting to have sex because he's afraid he will make me go into labor? Has anyone else gone through this?

Ok, I know this may sound strange.. but I dont know.. I have been getting PD cramping pains for about 2 mounths now . I am just into my 37th week and I am getting them for a while today since about 1:30pm and they really hurt... and then they go away. But my bad hurts too. I would say I have had 3 in the last 20 to 25 min. but they are just painful I am not like crying from them. But It is killing me. LOL. I feel presher now anda gain down ther in the front and back.. does anyone know ?

Does anyone else love being pregnant? Im only 8 weeks, have really sore boobs, nausea, extreme tiredness, very bloated, food aversions, but all that aside I LOVE IT!! Its like a magical mystery tour that changes every day. Im curious to what is gonna happen next!

I have been told I need to prepare my bag for the hospital (when I go into labour). I have all the basic stuff that the books/ magazines/websites tell me to pack. I was just wondering if there were any other items that people took and would really recommend me to pack (that don't appear on the 'usual' lists)? Any MUST have items? Any good advice?

Hi. I'm 16 weeks and really feel tired! I seem to be sleeping o.k. at night, about 8 hours, but when at work in the afternoons, I am so tired I could just fall asleep! I thought after about 12 weeks, that feeling goes away....? Anyone else feel this way?

I have been worried that my tummy isn't big enough, but my measurements according to the doctor are right. And I've been gaining weight, the baby is moving, and his heartrate was 150. But I'm still concerned, and going to be more, because I asked for another ultrasound , and he agreed just to put my mind at ease. Now I know I'll worry until my appt. in 2 wks. Anyone else been small looking during pregnancy? How did it turn out? And when does the baby REALLY start putting on weight? Thanks!

I saw online calculator to determine exactly how far you are and it says im 6 weeks and its counting down from my last period? so are you pregnant before you have sex? and the sperm just puts the icing on the cake? Or do you get pregnant when you have sex? Im so confused! And before anyone asks no I didnt pay attention in health class I was always the real independant girl who despised boys! Iam '6,2" , and about 200 pounds , i am 10 weeks pregnant and already showing a lot , i am a bigger girl ( look like a football player , ha ha ) The father is '6.4" and well he is skinny but long and lanky . What are my chances of having a big baby ? And why am i so "puffy" already ?

Ok, My boyfriend cheated on me a couple months back with his ex girlfriend. He said he only did it because we werent really serious, and he was really confused. Then I moved in and he broke up with me, said he just wanted to be roommates. Then we got back together and I found out I was pregnant. In the beginning he was happy and ok about it. Then he talked to his mom about it and he came home and told me he wanted me to get an abortion. I told him no, and then his mom made my life miserable to the point I almost miscarried from stress. My boyfriend was telling me he was only with me because I was pregnant and that he isnt happy. Then one day he came home from work and said his mom offered me a job and all of a sudden he wanted something to do with the pregnancy. Now his mom is really nice to me, and he is so into all the baby stuff. Something about it doesnt seem right, how can they both make a 180 degree turn like that? He said he had a talk with his mother but I don't know....

hi i am due on oct 16 so i am very close almost 40 weeks. My question is that i am getting braxton hicks where my stomach gets extra hard and tight for some time but i feel no pain at all. Is that normal coz i hear girls say that at this stage they all feel some sort of pain some sort of signs, but with me i am not getting anywere. Do you think i will go past my due date i hope not coz i cant take this anymore. Anyone else experience the same thing where they didnt feel pain, then how did labor start for you and how strong were contractions at that time. When did you start feeling pain, also where is it suppose to hurt near the vagina or up in the stomach, sorry i know i sound stupid but my doc is not much help at all. Please share your experience in detial i will really appriciate and again why am i not feeling anything at all. Also how close do you think i am to labor!! Thanks All!!
ps..oh one more thing the baby has fully dropped i feel so much pressure down there now!!
