Hi. I'm 16 weeks and really feel tired! I seem to be sleeping o.k. at night, about 8 hours, but when at work in the afternoons, I am so tired I could just fall asleep! I thought after about 12 weeks, that feeling goes away....? Anyone else feel this way?

Oh man. Especially the first few months. I wasnt working at the time, so I would get up in the morning with my boyfriend before he went to work and as soon as he left, my butt was right back in the bed passed out...i would wake up, eat something, watch tv (still in bed) and pass back out again and wake up when he got home. Stay up with him for a while so we could still be close, and then sleep when he slept. It was ridiculous (coming from someone who would be fine on five hours of sleep before being pregnant)

Eventually though, I got out of being tired all the time and I got a full time job up until the beginning of my ninth month when i was put on bedrest, and for some reason, i hated staying in bed.

It will go away, but for now, you should get as much sleep as possible.

I'm 18 weeks and feel like a bum...I'm always tired. I thought the feeling was supposed to go away too, but maybe you have additional stress going on that is making you tired. That's what happened to me.

for both of my pregnancies, i was practically a narcoleptic, i slept at least 10 hours a night, but usually more like 12, plus a nap here and there. if you're body's telling you that you need to rest, then you need to listen to it!

its normal your body is about to go through a very hard thing. having a baby takes alot of work so your body needs lots of sleep . try taking naps or going to bed sooner. good luck and congrats.
