You are big now because you were already big (not rude) and the bloating just makes you look like showing. On the other hand, of course you are gonna have a big baby, genetics don't fail honey. I'm 6" and my husband 6"3, I'm 25 weeks pg and my dr told me already to be ready for a 20/21 inch long baby girl.

Your chances are pretty good of having a baby who will be tall as an adult. Not necessarily fat... that's how you feed your child and how much exercise he/she gets. But your genetic makeup and that of the father indicate a child who will grow to be tall like his/her parents.

Why are you "puffy"? At your stage, your normal diet should be sufficient to sustain you and your developing baby, with the addition of pre-natal vitamins. Two-and-a-half months into a pregnancy isn't too early to be showing, especially if you are not in good physical condition.

But it *is* time for you to see an OB/GYN for your first appointment and make sure everything is progressing normally and that you are healthy. There are many conditions which could cause swelling and edema, some which can harm your child.

Good luck!

I would have to guess that you will have a baby that will be AT LEAST as tall as you. But, if you have any shorter relatives, sometimes those can crop up. But, with you and your husband both on the tall side, I say the odds are in your favor of a tall child. If you are puffy, you are retaining fluid. Just make sure you drink lots of water to get rid of the extra fluid. I know, it sounds wrong, but it's true.

Alot of first-timers say...YEA I am pregnant and I can eat for two, then do and get bigger then needed, it isn't the end of the world! But genetics play a large part in baby size. How big were you and your siblings? How about dad and his family-you can make a good guess that way. But your doctor will tell you if baby is on big (or even small) size at your ultrasound.

you are probably just bloated, that happened to me in the beginning. My belly hurt and was so bloated I could wear jeans that had the button places because my belly would bruise there. I had to get stretchy pants. As far as the baby, Im pretty sure it will be tall but as far as the weight goes that really depends on how healthy you are with your pregnancy and how much you and the father weighed at birth. I was 8.5lbs and he was9 so that is what they are expecting for me..plus he measuring about that big as well. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

First, we all show differently. Second, you'll probably have a tall child as it ages. If you want an idea on birth weights, talk to your parents about your and his sizes at birth. That should give you some kind of idea.

You very well may be having a large baby. it all depends on those wonderful genes. Showing at 10 weeks is not uncommon but could also be bloating or gas. believe me, you have that a lot during pregnancy.
