there is a special massage for pregnant women. they are not to have certain parts of the body stimulated because it can cause you to go into labor. I think it's the feet but I can't remember. which would suck b/c that is the part that you'd want worked on most.

Yes they can. You already know this by your post, but you just have to tell them you are pregnant :) There are some pressure points in the body that can trigger labor so as long as you are having it done at a reputable place and the person doing it is fully aware you are pregnant, go for it!
You'll love it. I had one done while I was pregnant and they are absolute heaven :)

Depends how far along you are. That will determine the areas that they need to avoid, such as your feet and legs later in the pregnancy.
I've seen guidelines that specifically tell massage therapists what areas they can safely massage on pregnant women. The woman that gives me pedicures was knowledgeable about what areas she couldn't touch.

Yes. Just be careful of things like hot oil and abdominal massage. I've also heard rumors about pressure points in the feet, but the back and neck are free range.

yes but make sure that you tell them that you are pregnant as you may not be able to lay down to get your massage. My best friend is a massage therapist and she gives an awesome massage but i have to sit in her massage chair instead of on the table but it still works and feels great

Yes! There are actually massage therepists who specialize in it and have a special table to lay on with a indentation to the belly. Just remember what's good for you is good for the baby. If your relaxed, the baby will be relaxed too. Good luck!

let them know beforehand, if you are very pregnant you cannot lay on the massage table and they may not have a massage chair. Some spas will not accomadate for pregnant women, so call ahead.

Yes, but you need to get someone that is trained in prenatal massage techniques. If you belly is already growing you will need to make sure that they have a table that can accommodate the belly.

Yes, I had one when I was pregnant and was told for them not to touch your feet especially early in pregnancy b/c it could cause you to miscarry if they touch a certain part on your foot.

yes you can but when you get one go to a professional who specializes in pregnancy massages. call around in your city. trust me, when you get it done it will make you feel better. if you get it done with a friend who isnt a professional DONT let them massage your belly, it causes contractions and might start labor
