Baby Names - September 2007

It is spanish and means sky. I'm not naming a baby but was curious if I am the only one who likes it. LOL
Also: don't you hate it when people shoot their mouths of before reading the whole question? Happened in my last question here. Uggh. So annoying. If they take the time to click the question, then they should finnish reading it before they answer. Sorry this was so off subject, but it saves 5 points. and also i wouldn't know what category to put it in, so thanks again for your patience.

Hi I'm Jonty(Jonathan) Rhodes(not the cricket player). My wife and I are expecting our first in a couple weeks. I'm South African and my wife is Australian so we decided not to have an Afrikaans name for the baby. We are christians. We live in South Africa. It’s a baby boy and we've shortened our list of names. They are:

Brendon Dave

Trenton (Jack or Shaun)

Abraham Benjamin ( We will call him AB at home by hs intials but in school he will be Abraham)

Last name is Rhodes.

We had first decided on Bryan Xavier or Joel Finn after her brother Bryan and our close friend Joel and his son Finn who have all passed away a couple of years ago, but now I decided not to because I know my wife will find it hard because she can cry any moment when Bryan, Joel or Finn are even said. We might name our second son (if we have another boy). So right now we are not naming our 1st son after someone.

please say which one is ur fav out of the 3 above in the list. Thanks!

Joel Finn (after a really close friend and his baby who passed away in the Tsunami)
Bryan (Xavier or Shaun)(Bryan is after my wife’s brother who died in an accident 2y ago)

Last name is Rhodes.

We are not sure about naming him after the people who passed away like her brother and our really close friend. This is because in a way its honouring but I'm scared that my wife might burst out crying if she hears her brother's name or Joel and Finn's name thinking about them. It's not happened yet but it could happen in the near future after we have called him that and that would be really hard on her.

We find out what gender our baby is at our next ultrasound and we've picked names for both. The names chosen are gaelic as the proud soon-to-be Daddy is pure Scottish. For the boy, we've chosen Draven (Dray-vin). The middle names are Jonathan (after my uncle) and Robert (after his father). I like Draven Jonathan Robert because D.J would be the nickname, and my fiance thinks Draven Robert Jonathan sounds better, more fluent. Whats your opinion? (For a girl, we've chosen Davina Skye Danielle (his family is from the Isles of Skye and Danielle after my little sister) ....

Shayne Marie. My 2 year old daughter is Reagan Elizabeth. I love the name Shayne but have been getting some trouble since it is more often a boy's name.

Hi I'm Jonty(Jonathan) Rhodes(not the cricket player). My wife Nathalie and I are expecting our first in a couple weeks. I'm South African and my wife is Australian so we decided not to have an Afrikaans name for the baby so it would be easier for my inlaws to pronounce. Oh yeah we don't live in the US, we live in South Africa. It's a baby boy so we've picked out a list of names. They are:

Brendon Dave
Brent Sebastian
Lleyton (Marcus or Brent)
Trenton Jack
Jaron Trent
Abraham Benjamin (we will call him AB sometimes)
Graeme Stephen (after both grandfathers of the child)
Joel Finn (after a really close friend and his baby son who passed away in the South-East Asia Tsunami Disaster)
Damien Harrison
Shaun Hayden
Bryan Xavier (Bryan is after my wife’s Nathalie’s brother who died in a car accident)

Our last name is Rhodes.

Please tell us which ones you like. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Ok. this is a personal opinion question. IM not sure i want to find out the sex of the baby. In your experience is it better to find out or to wait.

Anyone think i should find out so it'll be easier to choose a name?

im not sure. also for anyone who has waited how hard is it to not known your whole pregnancy?
