OK, for future reference we'd like some suggestions for a boys first name who's second name would be Jonathan and last name Watson. We like the idea of being able to call him JJ or AJ for short. Cannot have Andrew, as its already in the family.

Suggestions welcome obvioulsy. We'd consider uncommon names so long as the name as a whole wasn't overly long and they're unknown all together kind of thing. If you think of any other names starting a different letter, but would create a good nickname, please let us know.

We once thought of Oliver, what are your thoughts on this name?

Thanks in advance.

My husband and I have one son:

Ian (after my father in law) Carle (after my father)

we are expecting our second son this coming september and we are naming him:

Shaun (after a dear friend who passed away) Forsythe (after my husband's Scottish clan).

We have had the name Shaun picked out before I even became pregnant. My father in law recently called to tell me he would prefer it if I would choose a different name for our new son because he already knows too many Shauns and he would like something new. Then he told me he strongly recommends we name the baby "Andrew Stewart" (Stewart after his brother!!) Now every time I see him, he pulls me aside and tries to convince me to change names! I have kindly told him that we are very settled on the name Shaun and it holds special significance to both my husband and myself, but it just doesn't seem to sink in!

Since when does the grandparent name the child??

What would be a good middle name that would sound great with Jack?

Preferably English-like names. (If that makes any sense! lol)

Also, do you like the name Charlotte Marie for a girl? She would be called Charlie!

My husband and I are expecting identical twin boys sometime in the next couple months. We need name help.
I like Lex and Leo but he wants other names to choose out of. Just in case they dont fit the boys. I dont want the names to rhyme. This isnt the 50s. Our last name is Beele. We already have a three and a half year old son Thor Karcher Beele.
I kind of want to do our grandfathers names.
His grandfather is Henry and mine is Finn.
But I need some suggestions.
Thor is named after my husbands deceased brother whose name was Karcher.

I am trying to think of boy names that begin with D that are not ordinary like David or Donald, but I don't want anything too over the top. I have one son now named Dylan. I'd rather not have to have a D name, but my husband is very stuck on naming all of our boys with D names because it is a tradition in his family that his father started. Any ideas?

I want to honor my russian heritage by picking a name that's traditionally Russian but I also want it to sound good in English (because we live in the United States) and in French (because my husband is French Canadian).

We both really like the name Nikita (which is a very traditional boy's name in Russia and other slavic countries). My only concern is that it seems to be a more popular name for girls than boys in the United States, and I don't want my son to have any problems as he's growing up.

As an alternative, we also like name Nicholas - but it's definitely more common.

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.
