Nicholas is such a charming name. Its really cute on a little boy, yet handsome and manly on a middle aged man. I think George suits it well because they're both classic names, and i think its especially nice since it has that sentimental value for you. Nicholas will probably be shortened to "Nick"
Colin is also a rather charming name, in a more sweet, understated way. I think its a really adorable name for a little name, but also a smart, sophisticated one for a middle aged man. I would go for Colin Elijah over Colin Donovan just because Colin and Donovan both end in an "n" sound and it doesn't flow so well. Plus Elijah is a really nice name. Colin could be used as it is or shortened to "Col" or "Cole"
Your other little boy already has his name starting with "N", and your little girl has a name starting with the same sound to Colin. It depends if you want your little boys names matching or not. I'd probably go for Nicholas George, since Katelyn and Colin sound very similar, and because George has that sentimental value to you. But either choice is lovely!

Nicholas George is a good name as far as using your family, but quite plain. Colin Elijah sounds better I think, but Donovan doesn't sound that bad. Here are some suggestions that I hope may help you.

Colin Elijah is my favorite or even Colin George. I really love Colin but do not think that Donovan compliments Colin.
