My co-worker is pregnant and is going to name her son Mavric, what do you think?

Whatever she wants to name her baby will be special. When my best friend was pregnant with her third child 13 yrs ago she told me she was going to name her baby Levi. I begged her not to, I said it was too different and the other kids would tease him. She did name him Levi and the name suits him perfectly, no one teases him about his name, he's an awesome kid with a cool name! So Mavric may seem out of the ordinary or odd but trust in the fact that your friend knows what she's doing! I think her son will be a great Mavric!

Well, Maverick is the brand new Roller coaster at Cedar Point~so people might relate him to the roller coaster....
It's sort of an odd name-but cute in a unique way....
It's very manly if nothing else!

I think it's just another one of those cutesy, novelty names that the child will be stuck with. A child's name can be unique without being odd. I think anyone deciding what to name a child should look at long-term effects and also think how they'd feel if that was THEIR name!

Interesting, but maybe a little too interesting.
My sons are Ronin and Zachary so even when we went a little off the beaten path we stuck with the spelling we knew.

Like Tom Cruise's name in Top Gun. very experimental. The only names that could be better would be Goose or Iceman.

Marvric...? Um, Well that's the name of my neighborhood gas station ( Marvic Mart)..... Well, It's her baby.
And that's a cute name especially because it is unique!
