My husband is from Italy and we are having a daughter. My husband goes by the name Lee and wants to name our daughter either Basil Leigh or Bella Leigh to honor his home. Which do you like? I know that Basil is considered a boy name, but I have found out that their are girls with that name also! THANKS!!!

What would you consider to be a stripper or "porn star" name?

Recently, someone told me that "Lily Gemma" was too stripperish for a little girl.

I thought a name like Christy Canyon or Candy Barr or Misty Rain was "porny".

What are some names that you would think are on the borderline between stripper and risque baby name?

For a book that will be published.

How do I come about finding one? Do I use my initials? Take up some family names? Steal some baby names?

I really can't decide- I tend to fall in love with one name and discard it the next day, just like that.

Should I just make up a totally random name that I like the sound of (or have significance) or what? (And yes, I do need a pen name, I have already decided that part.)

Maybe someone can help me:
My first initial is S and last initial is Y.
Looking for a male name.
My works are fiction.

I love the idea of plant names for people like Heather, Laurel, Sage, Holly...
What other names can you think of?
I think I just like names that are nouns, because I also like River and Stone.
I decided to create a sims family on Sims 2 that everyone in the family is named after a flower or a plant. And another family named after land formations, like Canyon and River.
And then maybe, a third family named after gems and things: Diamond, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire.
These are for the characters who have the dream of large families.

I know it's kind of dorky, but so what? Anyway, I'm trying to compile enough names before I start so I won't run out. I have a pretty good list of plant names but then I have just recently heard the names Alder and Kale.

My twin's name is Micah and for a while there it was NOT a popular name at all...but there seems to be a boom in the likeness of Micah...do you like the name Micah?

I wish people would THINK before giving their children some awful name the child can not spell,plus the teasing from the other children.What are people thinking.Come on give a child a normal name instead of putting the child through years of teasing and name calling.I hate to think of a child sitting and crying because everyone at school is making fun of their name.Mom and Dad should have to go through one day in these childrens lives!

Chan (say Shan)
Ta (rhymes with duh)
Lei (as in a Hawaiian Lei or like Late)
with the emphasis on the 3rd syllable.

Be honest, but gentle. It is actually my daughter's name.
