Coultering (v) To call a person with superior opposing arguments vicious names in order to hide the hypocrisy of your own position, your lack of supporting evidence, or the erroneous logic behind your presuppositions.

Example - Stop Coultering and make your point!

or "The Republican Senators were Coultering when they used the term "cut and run" to argue against leaving Iraq.

To know the answer we must ask: What is a liberal? You can use the dictionary definition, but that won't describe today's modern liberals. It is an outdated word, and actually describes what most conservatives stand for. In fact, in most countries in the world, if there is a political party with the label "Liberal" it actually corresponds mostly with America's conservatives.

But what is a liberal?

1. Liberals believe individuals should doubt their own truths and consider fairly and open-mindedly the truths of others.

Jesus said, “"I am the way and the truth and the life.” He doesn't appear to have doubted his own truth or to have been open-minded to the “truths of others.”

Verdict: Not Liberal

2. Liberals believe government has a fundamental responsibility to help those who are less fortunate.

Jesus believed that “neighbors”, not government, are the ones who have the responsibility to help those in need.

Verdict: Not Liberal

.......
1. Afghanistan: Liberated and fighting hard to stay that way.
2. Iraq: Liberated and fighting hard to stay that way.
3. Libya: Gave up all it's nuclear weapons materials
4. Iran: Not currently working on nukes

What part of the above doesn't sound like a positive outcome from Bush military action. Given that war is sometimes necessary to restrain those with ill intent and action and that young men die in war; doesn't it seem that a lot got done with less military deaths than occurred on Clinton's watch during peace time?

There is an outcry from the Democrats about the CIA destroying interrogation tapes.

First, they blame Bush for outing a CIA person, then when there is a possibility of more CIA Agents being outed, the CIA destroyed the tapes, they blame Bush again.

CIA Director Goss was upset by the tapes' destruction but did not take any action because the decision was within Rodriguez's authority, a former intelligence official told the AP. The CIA's spy service has broad latitude to take actions to protect operational security.

i couldn't believe the answers i got.

"last 100 years . . . temp. increase of 1 degree" whether it sounds so or not, this is incredibly significant. if it was so insignificant, the ice wouldn't be melting, the ph level of the oceans wouldn't be down .5, and a record high number of specie extinctions would not be occuring.

"can't predict the weather two weeks from now" on a microscopice scale, no. we can't get the temp right within .1 degrees, but we get the general temp? yes. this has nothing to do with the global warming argument anyway.

brianthepig's answer was my favorite. he says mars is heating, therefore the sun is to blame. solar levels are on the DECLINE.not only that, but half the planets in the solar system are cooling.all this proves is that we do not have the same atmosphere as mars, and that all planets' environmental conditions aren't not controlled by one factor

I was at a Christmas party and a Woman from Kentuckey kept going on and on about how evil Hillary is. (I'm thinking Hey this is a party) But she is everywhere chasing people to the open bar for some pain killer.

Then she starts talking about her teenage daughters getting abortions. Is this a typical Republican.

I personally think Jesus was a liberal.

Proof :

Matthew 5:38 - Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 7:1 - Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Matthew 5:7 - Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Acts 2:44 - All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possestions and divide them all as according to each one's need.

Matthew 26:52 - Jesus said to him, put your sword back in its place, for all who live by the sword will die by the sword.

i'm looking to get a fairly accurate judgment on just how misinformed conservatives are on this topic. i've already heard amateur arguments such as: "the sun is causing the warming" "global warming is a hoax" "man does not have the power to change his environment" "a couple [minority] of scientists believed in global cooling in the 70's -- [therefore global warming is presumably not possible]"

anyone with the even slightest degree of knowledge of climatology knows these are ridiculous claims. i'm looking to discover just how misinformed other conservatives on this topic. perhaps, assuming they are misinformed, they are this misinformed on every topic. maybe not, but we'll see.

and please no "the weather man doesn't believe in it". i'm not sure what that proves, other than you base your opinion of AGW entirely off the weather man's (one person) opinion. only facts pertaining to global warming itself, not attacks against or for individual scientists.

"When asked who would be a better president, the journalists from outside the Beltway picked Mr. Kerry 3 to 1, and the ones from Washington favored him 12 to 1. Those results jibe with previous surveys over the past two decades showing that journalists tend to be Democrats, especially the ones based in Washington. Some surveys have found that more than 80 percent of the Beltway press corps votes Democratic."
