They are part of the neo-con's political machine. They don't care about things such as fairness and integrity. They are simply a neo-con political tool used to pave the way for the most corrupt GOP candidate money can buy.

But he is not a loony, he is well spoken, he is a real American politican instead of the cookie cutter candidates we have for the rest of them.
The rest talk in generals and slogans, Ron is talking specifics and people are responding.
So the media, working with their cash cow the Rep+Dems, are trying to make him look stupid+crazy to offset his rise because they see someone that people might vote for, and they need to squash him because he won't play the usual politics of "Let's enrich ourselves and a few friends at the expense of the rest of the country"

First, the pundits at Fox are corporate Repubs, meaning that their philosophy is whatever is good for business, is good for America. They believe that Giuliani is the best candidate for business, because he wants to give all the illegal aliens in our country amnesty, so they attack the candidates who are for getting tough on illegals like Romney, Tancredo, Thompson and Paul.
These disgusting corporate types want the cheap labor to keep on coming, no matter the terrible effects that unlimited immigration is having on our country.
Secondly, many of these creeps are neo-cons like Bill Krystal, who have abandoned traditional conservative values in favor of more liberal social policies. They attack anyone who is a true conservative like Huckabee and Paul. Paul is an enemy to these neo-cons and they know that.

They feel a need to smear and attack him, because he's NOT a loon, but a very serious contender, with very serious support.
