Can someone explain to me why some people would get mad that I ask this question? and make all sorts of assumptions about what side of political spectrum I belong?

Its almost as if in this country we are divided between those who believe in free speech and discussion and intellignet exchange and those who oppose it. And I guess if you ask questions designed to promote discussion you are assumed to be on one side.

a. Humans only give birth to humans, and the unborn baby is alive and innocent. It's really akin to murdering an innocent who can't even scream for help.
b. I do agree with the continued occupation of Iraq, until the very last insurgent is either dead or discouraged. Hopefully, you know we aren't still fighting against Iraq...they want us there too.
c. I think that each and every citizen needs to make the purchase of healthcare a priority, much like a nice car, going on a vacation, or buying that LCD tv for the wall. It's within almost everybodys reach, but there are a lot that want someone else to pick up the tab...so they wait.

Sucking a fetus out of a womb and dumping it into a plastic bag is horrendous and should be a crime. We have become a self centered and calloused society with little or no morals left. This is why Muslims call us infidels, and on this issue, they are right.

If we leave Iraq without making sure it is safe would be a crime against humanity. We can handle Iraq and make it at least a little better. Leaving now allows the terrorists to declare that they beat the USA and opens the door for a new dictatorship. Maybe we should not have gone (debatable), but we can't leave now.

Health care needs to be addressed. The high cost also makes US corporations less competitive. GM spends billions on employee health insurance. It is also a shame that a nation with this much wealth cannot help people (citizens) who are sick.

EDIT: Your new question: Abortion really is sick and pis>es people off. When you bring up something this grotesque your gonna get heated responses. Abortion should be illegal. Nothing to do about free speech.

A. I oppose abortion because it is the legalized murder of the unborn. No matter what, that fetus was going to become a baby, and henceforth a human. Any killing of humans not in self-defense, in war or in corporal punishment is wrong. It is also against my beliefs to murder the unborn.
B. I support the war. I wish it had been conducted differently but with things looking up, I support the mission. If we cut and run like in Vietnam, Al Qaeda will say, "We defeated the Great Satan. They do not have the will to fight a prolonged war." Of we cannot outlast a ideological heatehn group, where are we?
C. Make health care available by mandating that insurance companies provide reasonable rates and availability to all. Also make sure that rates do not go up based on a single doctor's office visit or emergency room procedure.

From the time of conception , you have a baby in the womb. If you see an ultrasound at about 6 weeks on you can see the baby ( not a cell ) but a baby. Babies can be born at 25 weeks and can survive. They are living human beings . They deserve the right to live just like everyone else does. If you are expecting and don`t want your child, there are many ways you can give your child to someone who really wants a baby that can`t have one. ABORTION IS MURDER!!!

I think we had every right to invade Iraq, on many fronts we gave them every chance to stop there ways. The united nations even told them on 13 occasions to knock it off, but they still insisted to do the things that they were doing. We should stay until there democracy is established and they are self sufficient . Our troops are very noble and I`m proud of all of them.

If they would stop giving everyone a free ride, don`t pay for all the illegals medical costs ( which illegals are bankrupting the hospitals in California ) and make everyone pay a little something it would work out. Welfare should only be available to those who can not work. There should be a limit to people who are on Government assistance. If you test positive for drugs you should be off welfare, ( and having babies for more welfare checks should be illegal )Most Americans can pay something for there medical costs. There should be a cap on what DR.`s can charge for there services and people should stop suing just to get a lot of money that drives up the cost of medical procedures.

a) if it's not a fetus or a human life inside of you, then technically, you can't be considered pregnant. abortion is wrong. if a woman's husband beats her until her unborn child dies, that's considered murder. so why is it okay to have your own child vaccumed out of your body on purpose?

b) i do support the invasion of iraq and the continued occupation in that country. i feel that it was something that needed to be done. removing all of the troops now would be a huge disaster.

c) i think i already spend enough tax dollars paying for everyone else's health care when some choose to just not have coverage. i shouldn't have to pick up someone else's tab just because they didn't feel like having insurance. i also agree with lori m about welfare and paying for illegal immigrants' health care.

it's also funny how liberals hate the government being involved with every aspect of a person's life, but they advocate universal health care...

It's the killing of an innocent human life, albeit not fully developed. Actually it's more than that, it's the murdering of an innocent human life. Do you see the difference here between killing and murder? And, it isn't even necessary. There are many who could and would adopt.

I think we tried to do a noble thing in Iraq, however, we tried to do it on the cheap. Not enough troops. We should not leave now until the job is done.

Preventative health care is up to the individual not the USA. Eat better, exercise, keep positive thoughts, go to church, and on and on.

A. I opposed abortion because I feel life is too precious to simply dismiss it due to one's age, including those in the womb.
B. I do not agree with the invasion and occupation of Iraq. I feel if those fools want to bomb and kill themselves, then I have no problem with it.
C. It is not the government's job to provide "good preventative health care," but it would help if the government was not so regulatory in it's medication approvals. These steps are the reason medicines cost so much, not because of the "greed" of pharmaceutical companies.

We already make health care available for all. I have yet to be in any town of a medium size that does not have a health clinic.

Abortion is murder.

Iraq was long over due and we would be out by now if they had not decided to murder each other and allow outside agitators free run. We went,,, we stay until they are stable. Anything less would be inhuman.

A) I oppose abortion because it's murder -- and we can take a legal analysis approach to prove this. In the state of Ohio (and many other states), you can be convicted of murder for terminating the pregnancy of a woman, without her permission. Furthermore, about three years ago, a pregnant woman was convicted of murder when her pregnancy was terminated as a result of her drug abuse. I oppose abortion because it's murder, when we don't want it to happen, but it's ok -- any other time. If we're going to make it illegal in one circumstance, it needs to be illegal across the board.

b) I don't agree with the invasion of Iraq. I think that in order for the people of Iraq to fully appreciate their new-found freedoms, they ought have fought for them, themselves. I am not opposed to helping them -- if they ask for help. I do not oppose our current occupation of Iraq -- while I think it was inappropriate for us to go there in the first place, to leave now would result in irreparable harm to their country.

c) There are a number of options with regards to ensuring that preventative health-care is accessible to all Americans. We could foot the bill at first, through bonds and taxes -- and return those funds when the rewards of preventative health-care costs are reaped, in the decline in costs associated with disease treatment, as time progresses. We could also establish less stringent guidelines for medicare/caid eligibility -- and extend it to men who are not seniors, and do not have children. We could also establish a national income-based pay scale for medical services, paid through decreased funding for other organizations such as NASA and the Armed Services.

I oppose abortion for the same reason I oppose the death penalty - I do not support state-sponsored murder.

I supported the removal of Saddam Hussein from power, the world needed one less mad-man with a nuclear trigger finger; but it is time the Iraqi people stood up and fought for their own freedoms. It's long past time for us to go.

As far as health care - the very first thing we need to do is elect Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States!
