I personally think Jesus was a liberal.

Proof :

Matthew 5:38 - Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 7:1 - Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Matthew 5:7 - Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Acts 2:44 - All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possestions and divide them all as according to each one's need.

Matthew 26:52 - Jesus said to him, put your sword back in its place, for all who live by the sword will die by the sword.

- shelter the homeless
- love thy neighbor
- beat swords into plw sheas
- the meek shall inherit the Earth

Conservative:

Some of today's so-called Christians cherry pick the parts they like and ignore the rest.

1. Jesus is perfect, thus He has no part in human, immoral politics.
2. Jesus would combine the good of both parties.

Okay 1. He was very supportive of the poor and claimed that you should help the poor. (Liberal)
2. He supported life and the preservation of it. (Conservative)
3. He supported public displays of religion and faith in Him. (Conservative)
So Jesus is neither a conservative nor a lieral. He is the Son of God.

Wait a minute! How can Jesus be a liberal? Yeah, he commanded that followers help the poor. But what do liberals do? They pass laws so that others have to give them money, some of which they keep, and give the rest to the poor and the politically connected.

I don't think Jesus ever went to Caesar to borrow his swords to make everyone virtuous.

Liberals contribute far less to charities than conservatives. So I say that conservatives are doing a pretty decent job of following Jesus' teachings.

Jesus enjoyed peace and sharing as liberals do. I am not a bible reader but I get the jist of jesus and I do not think that he spread fear or condoned revenge as present conservatives in the administration and media do.

If you refer to him during the time he walked the earth he was a liberal. Had he been a conservative in his day he would have been a Roman or a Pharisee.

Ummm, I think he was a Conservative Liberal if that makes any sense at all... He was open minded but keep to tradition as well. He accepted all for who they were but lived his life by strict rules.

He was against killing and was for helping the poor, so he was a liberal. "As you do to the lowest among you, so you also do unto me"

Acts 2:44 sounds like he was a communist.

Chi Guy - When did Jesus say anything about abortion or pre marital sex?
