Millions of American children do not have medical insurance because there parents cannot afford it. They refuse medical treatment and an ambulance because they fear they cannot pay the medical costs.
This isn't fair.
But the reason is because President Bush wants more money to pay for this stupid war.

I pray the next president uses "her" head and help our own country instead of helping others.

PRIVATE CHARITIES ALONE ARE NOT SUFFICIENT TO ADDRESS POVERTY
"There are, in every country, some magnificent charities established by individuals. It is, however, but little that any individual can do, when the whole extent of the misery to be relieved is considered. He may satisfy his conscience, but not his heart. He may give all that he has, and that all will relieve but little. It is only by organizing civilization upon such principles as to act like a system of pulleys, that the whole weight of misery can be removed... The plan here proposed will reach the whole. It will immediately relieve and take out of view three classes of wretchedness-the blind, the lame, and the aged poor; and it will furnish the rising generation with means to prevent their becoming poor; and it will do this without deranging or interfering with any national measures."
- Thomas Paine, Agrarian Justice

I just struggled through an episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, for someone that claims to be a libertarian, he sure as hell sounds like a far left liberal. The whole episode, which had Chris Matthews on it another liberal claiming to be a moderate, was an entire hour of putting down the Bush administration and smearing America in general.

Along with cutting corporate welfare?

As in an end to oil and farm subsidies. An end to passing laws that favor the pharmacutical and healthcare industry instead of the people. And end to the corporate lobby structure in Washington.

That is really your only two choices.

"Fiscal conservatives" like Bush and Reagan tend to create huge deficits.

I mean, the less jobs created in the USA, because of job outsourcing, then the more Americans are forced to apply for government assistance because there's less jobs available, and even many of them are low paying.

Who pays for people who need assistance from the government? We all pay!

Shouldn't we try to keep more jobs here in the US? I know it costs more money to hire employees than to pay taxes on products produced here, but still, in the big picture, people still need to eat, and need help with housing costs and are forced to reley on the government for assistance.

Democrats are always complaining about how the government handles the Iraq war and foreign policy and often times domestic policy, so why would they think a Government Healthcare System would work well? Why would you decide to give an institution which you claim has too much power, more power, in an effort to try to instill an element taken from Communism? If you think everything they do is wrong, or done the wrong way, why would you think they'd do a good job of this? It just doesn't make any sense. P

home & broad
it isnt our federal governments fault it kind state + local fault & most parents too. it is the state to fund schools + local governments to bring the money to the schools + the schools to help anyway shape of form but 0 will work in less the parents or grandparents do the work too. parents need to be there to support their children + be home when kids r home (not meaning over night shift) but when your kids r home after school and go to bed you should be there for them with any problem outside + even school work ( so they don't have to cheat & ask question on here or call homework hotline) that is where all their troubles begin at home when parents need to work for their kids future but doesnt have to be like that. u have to count your bless and be grateful for what you have & not what u want. & young people need to stop having kids when they r not married or no job or a boy who scrams when he wakes up. don't you think iraq has the same problem or are blind to that fact

What would be a good example of the governments lie radicating mistrust of the citizens of the U.S.

Citizens of the U.S would immediately distrust the U.S. government if, in fact, extraterrestrial information has been covered up. Citizens would be forced to question the decisions and statements the U.S. government would give regarding any subject in controversy. Not to imply that controversial issues today are not question, but the percentage of skeptical citizens would be much higher if such revelation would be reveled. For example,

The colonel was furious. "Can you believe it? They actually drew their weapons on U.S. soldiers." He was describing a 2006 car accident, in which an SUV full of Blackwater operatives had crashed into a U.S. Army Humvee on a street in Baghdad's Green Zone. The colonel, who was involved in a follow-up investigation and spoke on the condition he not be named, said the Blackwater guards disarmed the U.S. Army soldiers and made them lie on the ground at gunpoint until they could disentangle the SUV.

I mean, it's like she has had some coaching from Al Gore or something. Ask her about the gun issue and she dances right around the subject. She refuses to speak about it at all. I recall the suspense and dread when it was a still undecided issue. First Gore, then Bush, then Gore and a horrified thought, "Oh my God! There go my guns! $15,000 in modern and relic firearms all confiscated like in Australia and Great Britan!" Those poor people have had gun crimes multiply horribly because now only the criminals have the guns They can't even defend themselves with a sharp stick. See "Saving Private Ryan"? I have one of each gun. Nearing retirement I can look at my collection and think that in a financial emergency they are money in the bank. I can literally point to them one at a time and say, "Here's six month's rent. This one is three month's worth of groceries," and so on. Aside from the right to keep and bear arms, this is my property not something the government can simply confiscate.
