I mean, it's like she has had some coaching from Al Gore or something. Ask her about the gun issue and she dances right around the subject. She refuses to speak about it at all. I recall the suspense and dread when it was a still undecided issue. First Gore, then Bush, then Gore and a horrified thought, "Oh my God! There go my guns! $15,000 in modern and relic firearms all confiscated like in Australia and Great Britan!" Those poor people have had gun crimes multiply horribly because now only the criminals have the guns They can't even defend themselves with a sharp stick. See "Saving Private Ryan"? I have one of each gun. Nearing retirement I can look at my collection and think that in a financial emergency they are money in the bank. I can literally point to them one at a time and say, "Here's six month's rent. This one is three month's worth of groceries," and so on. Aside from the right to keep and bear arms, this is my property not something the government can simply confiscate.

I am a gun-owner, though I rarely if ever take it down from the top shelf of my closet. I am proficient with its use, and am willing to use it if necessary, but I'm not likely to go out and buy more guns, because I haven't had the need.

Despite the fact that I have yet to find a use for one (having yet had no need), I am not under the illusion that they are useless. Some politicians would have you believe that were we unarmed, the police would be there to protect us. So far, I've yet to see any reason to place my trust in any government agency, let alone the our local police force.

Just remember, the vast majority of politicians are against "taking your guns away..." It's usually the minority that is the most vocal, so that's why you're always hearing more and more about the subject.

If, however, we do go the way of Great Britain, that's when you grab your guns, run to the hills and fight back... if you don't defend your right to bear arms, then you have no right to your freedoms.

The very idea of personal freedom didn't come about until the peasants found a way to arm themselves. Some people should keep that in mind. Then again, some people like the idea of the government controlling everything they do.

They're not going to take away your guns. That would be political suicide. To do so, even if she wanted to, she would have to overturn the second amendment, something that established by the Bill of Rights at the very beginning of the government is unlikely to be taken away now, it would never get through Congress, whether it was Republican or Democratic congress. A lot of Congressmen have to vote pro-gun just to stay in office in certain districts so theres nothing to worry about.

The politicians do what they can to earn the trust of gun voters. Remember when John Kerry went out in his "$1500 LL Bean hunting suit and a $7000 shotgun and shoot a fat, stupid goose he was too lazy to carry himself" - Imus

Spiders relax me to the middle. i will't stand those issues. they're so sneaky, and function too many legs. And the dwindle down on your head, or once you're snoozing. you do not hear or see them coming. Yuck. If the international trusted my going up against a spider.... The spider might win. I hate those issues. i'm not afraid or Clinton or Obama transforming into to be president, I certainly welcome the exchange and growth, besides the shown fact that, i'm traumatic for their risk-free practices. i think of there are a great purchase of ignorant human beings accessible who would be quite disillusioned and can do something stupid. ?? yaddajean ??

That was an interesting little story. Do you realize that if the government decides to take your guns they will? I think you would feel better selling the guns so you can stop worrying about it

Hillary will do nothing about gun ownership other than maybe reinstate the assault weapon ban. I am an avid hunter and own guns myself. I would actually applaud a ban on assault weapons.
Hillary scares you but someone like Rudy doesn't? God forbid the US is dumb enough to elect someone like Rudy as president, especially after the disaster we've known called Bush.

I really hope this is a joke!!! Do you just blindly accept everything the Republicans say about the Democrats "taking away your guns?" I am a gun owner, and I'm not the least bit worried about losing my S&W 9mm pistol much less any antiques!!! Sheesh

If you are a law abiding citizen, you have nothing to worry about.

Gore is not against gun ownership. He is an avid hunter.
