Presently, the President as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces need not lead the war according to the Constitution.

If a prince from england can't i doubt the president would. many presidents have served in the military, those that havent are john adams, thomas jefferson, john quincy adams, martin van buren, grover cleveland, william taft, woodrow wilson, warren harding, calvin coolidge, herbert hoover, franklin d. roosevelt , and bill clinton. if you are trying to make a point about bush, fdr did not serve in the military :/

gotta miss presidents like george washington
