About 7 in 10 Americans is "concerned about the income gap" and the wealth gap, as well as the "declining size fo the middle class" but they also thought that government's role should not be to tear down the wealthy or give handouts but rather ensure that there is upward mobility.

Except that the data show that there is upward mobility - more so than in past generations. Indeed the "gap" is not between one group with declining income and one with rising income, just between two groups whose real incomes are rising at different rates - - - and more importantly, for the most part it is between older, more experienced workers and younger, less experienced workers (most of who will one day be in the other, higher income category), the gap growing as we move to a knowledge-based economy. The "middle class" is in fact moving up.

People's concern seems a concern for others - as in, I'm OK, everyone I know is OK, but the media have convinced me that untold millions aren't.

(and why do people say ONLY Bush lied?)

"People can quarrel with whether we should have more troops in Afghanistan or internationalize Iraq or whatever, but it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons."

IMHO..the complaints of lost rights is a concerted effort to falsely trump up impeachment charges..setting the stage for political chaos..

On the political front, Soros has poured massive funding into such groups as the ACLU, which uses lawsuits to hamstring the War on Terror. Soros also funds Amnesty International, whose US executive director has called for the arrest of President Bush as a war criminal. Another Soros-funded group, The Center for Constitutional Rights, has drawn up detailed articles of impeachment against the President.

By posing as ordinary Democrats, Shadow Party candidates trick mainstream voters into supporting them..

Soros writes in The Age of Fallibility, “[T]he Democratic Party does not stand for the policies that I advocate; indeed, if it did, it could not be elected.”

Why then do so many from the Carribean and Latin states fly past Cuba to get free medical help in the USA ?

"What! Free Medical in the USA you say?????

Yes... They just fly back home without paying the bill!!!!!

Hmmmmm... I wonder..
Could THAT be a big reason why medicine is expensive for US CITIZENS ? That WE have to pay for YOU?

Watching that Live Earth concert just put such a warm feeling in my stomach that I broke every light bulb in my house, shut of the gas line, burned my truck, and biked the 20 miles to work this morning. It was such a great thing to see all those people playing for free, no one making profits off of all those happy concert-goers, Al Gore donating his time and money to the cause, all the concert venues left in a pristine condition after the events ...

WHAT!!!??? WHAT DO YOU MEAN ALL IT WAS WAS A BIG MONEY-MAKING SCAM!!!???

Are you as tired of this crap as I am?
Aren't there a few important things going on in the world?
These people in Washington DC seem to be under the impression that it's all about them.
I'm sick of it.
Your thoughts?

Is it because geography and social science is not taught enough in American schools and that the Media has taken advantage of their lack of understanding? I was astonished to find some schoolmates from America, not even being able to locate Washington D.C. on the American map!
