I have no respect for Chavez and I dislike him coming to our country and bashing our country and its leaders. Regardless of political stance it was wrong to do that in the way that he did.

There is an INCREASED threat of terrorism NOW than there was BEFORE the Iraq invasion. Why Are the Bush family so intent on War with these people..?? Does it boil down to the Bible and their religious beliefs?? by the way i believe religion is evil..please comment

Too often in my life--especially in times of war or political turmoil--I've heard someone speak of another country as if it is one unified body of like-minded individuals. This can't possibly be true for any country on the face of the earth. Yet there's talk of Iraq hating America, America distrusting Iran, Iran hating Israel, America caused this, France caused that, Britain thinks this, Pakistan does that...

I realize that some of this is a short-hand form of speech, pervasive even in the news media. But I think it does some damage.

When you criticize a country and its world policies, are you able to distinguish those policies, and the governments which created them, from the good citizens of that country? Do you realize not everyone--in any country--thinks alike, or agrees with what their government does?

Can we stop the ridiculous assumptions, and the resulting fear and hatred?

I expect a few hateful or mindless comments, but hope for intelligent, rational ones, too.

I asked for Hugo Chavez email address today and got 9 answers after his speech about President Bush in the United Nations. 8 out of the 9 responses would not impress Christ if you were one of His followers. 8 out of the 9 answers received were not in my opinion Christian remarks about Mr. Chavez. So are you Christian and if so just in name only or to be a follower must we do as he does?

say?

If any country, you pick one, I don't care, did water boarding, extremes in temperture, sleep deprivation, "stress positions" such as forced standing for hours on end what would you say.

If any nation, you pick one, I don't care, put people in a cell, without charges being filed, not allowed contact with an attorney, or to see evidence against them, what would you say?

Isn't W's policy the exact same thing we charge Sadam with? Doesn't that make us as bad as them? Why can and does the US do the exact same thing it deems the act of a terrorist.

If you think it makes the world a better place then I think you are mistaken. But that's just me.

SO now the MUSLIM COMMUNITY is mad at the POPE?
the Pope recently upset the Muslim world with some ill-advised comments concerning the religion of Islam. Other things that have recently upset the Muslim community include Dutch cartoons, the sun, Diet Pepsi, artificial turf, the cast of Lost, Newark, ice cubes and pretty much anything else that isn't exclusively Islamic. Except for Tony Danza. They love that guy.
So why are the rest of us tripping over each other to either write, or read about this stupid crap? Let's just put the fingers in ears, and say "LA LA LA", like when we were kids. I am a muslim, and I don't care what the Pope says.
