"The Constitution of the United States is a law for rulers and people, equally in war and in peace, and covers with the shield of its protection all classes of men, at all times and under all circumstances. No doctrine involving more pernicious consequences was ever invented by the wit of man than that any of its provisions can be suspended during any of the great exigencies of government. Such a doctrine leads directly to anarchy or despotism, but the theory of necessity on which it is based is false, for the government, within the Constitution, has all the powers granted to it which are necessary to preserve its existence, as has been happily proved by the result of the great effort to throw off its just authority." Milligan, 71 U.S. 2 (1866)

despotism... is where we are hearded unless we reel Bush in.

Israel has always been a well-known hated nation by its middle eastern neighbors yet they are all but wiped off the face of the planet. Where does Israel rank in foreign powers?

With the escalation of violence in the middle east this week, I was surprised to see a U.N. resolution created and shot down so quick-- but it was shot down by only ONE veto. The United States voted against it, 10 to 1. Is the system flawed if the US can simply say no to anything it doesn't like? Seems rediculous to me.

I have been batting it around but its a nasty process and I am very anti-confrontation. Would you vote for someone like me knowing that I am blunt and to the point? Or do you prefer the traditional slick willie types?

grain alcohol, green vegetables & any green waste that is being thrown in the trash heap today, solar, wind, geo-thermal, seaweed, kelp, CHLOROPHYLL synthesized into alcohol by use of an enzyme, CHLOROPHYLL turned into alcohol by the natural process of photosynthesis. ALSO: I have been hearing a lot about CHLOROPHYLL being the NEW SUPER F-O-O-D; that chlorophyll in the human blood stream combines with carbon dioxide molecues in the bloodstream & direct sunshine/OR ANY PLANT LIGHT THAT WILL SUSTAIN PLANT GROWTH INDOORS will release oxygen/sugar glucose a by-product of photosynthesis. Anyone with any thread of info on this subject would you please please share it with me, especially clinical results of how much oxygen/glucose can be produced in the body with phosynthesis. I found my thread under the web search Photosynthesis in the Human Body

I think it's a lame excuse for inaction. Lazyness. Do Americans realy think that they are limited to a useless election every four years to change their government, and to punish it for its crimes?

Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. - YET: They want to restrict gambling, Create welfare and retirement for EVERYONE, Save the flag (which is private property, to protect it they must define what constitutes a flag), define and punish what is profane (FCC), bypass the constitution (Congress not the President declares war) **Section VIII - To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water**

Time and time again they demonstrate usurping states and interfering with private rights.

This government wants to CONTROL EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY. We are becoming a socilist country.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States"

I think the world, especially Americans, think they hate Bush, but realy hate themselves for allowing our government to commit unspeakable crimes against humanity, while sitting back and not doing anything about it. Mr. Bush, and the office he holds, is just a way of taking the blame off of ourselves, and projecting it onto something we can't ever reach, touch, talk to, or do anything about. (At least that's what we are made to believe) When you see a bully picking on somene defenceless, don't you want to push the bully back? Why don't we?

It is sorta like committing sin, asking God to forgive us, and then not taking responsibility for our actions. "It's God's will."

Well what is being done in the world by our govenrment is not my or any other persons will, unless you own a big business that benifits from war crimes.

The republicans are fighting tooth and nail to get rid of the voting rights act. Maybe they don't think that black people should vote, could that be it? If black people don't vote republican, then maybe they shouldn't vote at all, is that what republicans think these days? Is it because the democrats want the voting rights act? Is that why the republicans are so against it? Maybe people shouldn't vote at all. Why don't we just make Dick Cheney President for life and do away with the rest of the government. Because i guess in republicans minds, voting is not a high priority. You know gay people are getting married. Next thing you know, they will want driver's licenses! Plus, some kids back in the 1960's burned some U.S. flags, lets do something about that. Voting? We don't need that in a democracy, do we?

Have I hit on any of the reasons why the republicans hate the voter’s rights act?
