We have been consistently attacked by Al Qeda prior to September 11. In 1998 Bin Laden declared war on the U.S. How does it make any sense that the United States declared war on Al Qeda after the attacks on Spetember 11 and is this helping anybody?

I was watching Oprah earlier this week. It was the episode which showed her new school for girls in Africa. In it she was asked why the school only had black girls. Her comment was "I don't feel the need to appease the white people of this country". Now, I think I know Oprah well enough to know that she wouldn't just make an out of hand racist remark about white people. There is obviously a part of the story I don't understand. Would someone please kindly enlighten me and please excuse my ignorance. Thank you.

has anyone seen this story?
this guy was crazy enough to jump infront of a subway train, attempt to pull a guy who'd just had a seizure off the track, and when he couldn't he pressed the guy down in between two rails and saved him from the train...
the guy got the highest honor from the state of new york, a years worth of free subway rides, and a full expenses paid disney vacation with tickets to The Lion King on broadway and a backstage tour afterward
is this guy crazy or what, and wouldn't those prizes be cool?

some strange objects were seen flyin over chicago airport..and were reported by UNITED AIRLINES crew...they say that these objects didnt have light and were not a plane or anyother identifiable object...the weather was clear that day...what are the chances of this being another one of those fake stories...although obviously journalist did take picture of it from far distance...looks like 3 spots of light...as usual the investigating officers said that it was due to weather...LAME EXCUSE or are they true..I mean the people who saw them were flight crew and they must have much idea about all sorts of effects due to weather changes, they said that it wasnt anything that they have seen before.
and then there was the little incidence of a metallic object falling from sky in new jersey..not yet identified but the reporting officers say that they havent seen such a thing in their whole career.
whats ur take on this..and do u think that our government on not finding anything gives fake answer

Instead of having fixed, predictable schedules for its employees, Walmart is looking into a system whereas the number of workers in its store will be in correlation to the number of customers; does this mean workers will be on call? how would that affect planned vacations, employee school schedules, and employees personal life? you like this?

Britain has just made its final payments to USA and Canada for loans made by them to help us fight the germans in WW2.These payments were £43million to USA and £10million to Canada and in total we have paid £3.8 billion to the USA and £880 million to Canada which includes interest.
Why did britain have to pay this and not the rest of europe etc for whom we fought, especially the french who profited most.
What is the USA paying Britain for our help in their war with Iraq and all the other favours that Blair the puppy does for Bush the barbarian?

I think Oprah Winfrey opening a new school for girls in South Africa is fantastic, a case of putting her money where her mouth is which is something Sir Bono and Madonna should take note of instead of seeking self publicity, am I right or am I wrong?
