has anyone seen this story?
this guy was crazy enough to jump infront of a subway train, attempt to pull a guy who'd just had a seizure off the track, and when he couldn't he pressed the guy down in between two rails and saved him from the train...
the guy got the highest honor from the state of new york, a years worth of free subway rides, and a full expenses paid disney vacation with tickets to The Lion King on broadway and a backstage tour afterward
is this guy crazy or what, and wouldn't those prizes be cool?

He wasn't crazy. He knew that he could very well die, but he did it anyway. And I'm sure that he didn't do it to win those prizes. After all, he could have been killed and not gotten any prizes. Even then, he would still be a hero.

This man is not crazy! He is a true hero. Not the superman, Hollywood style. The true hero God sends along every once in a while to let us know there are real human unselfish people out in this world. He did not do it for the "prizes" and I bet if told he would give up the prizes just to show his true spirit.
Try it someday everyone. Just do a small nice deed for someone and watch the ripple effect.
God Bless this gentleman.

supply this guy a Medal. this is gorgeous to benefit somebody who saved one among our Animals. far too many are being killed in this merciless international we are living in. If it is going on the time will come whilst there is none left... and then destiny generations of infants will in no way get the prospect to work out any. One could remember that each and every person Animals have been in the international long in the previous we've been, and hence are greater entitled to it. Pity we got here alongside later.....

Wow what an act of unselfishness. Actually the guy was really smart to make the life saving decision for himself and Holopeter. He went inside the trough with the rescued. Trough was in between the rails.

Yes, I did see the story. The selfless act of heroism exhibited by this man should reaffirm everyone's faith in their fellow human beings. It was a random act of kindness worth much more than the "cool prizes" that he received. To risk your life in order to save that of another is the ultimate example of The Golden Rule.

Yeah, incredibly crazy. and while very heroic and generous some might say stupid because he could have also been killed. But he wasn't, thankfully, so fortunately I guess we really can consider him a hero. I'm just amazed that some one was able to have a seizure and fall onto a busy high voltage railroad track without getting electrocuted. I never stand near the edge of the platforms, things just happen too often its not even worth it, and doesn't make a difference usually anyway, you'll still get on the train.

Sometimes when in a life or death situation you don think about your own safety, you think of that of another humans..its called compassion and love..it probably happens more times than we hear about. My mother has done something very similiar..she doesnt even remember thinking, she just acted. Its a good thing.

I think what he did was incredible. He obviously didn't have time to weigh his options, he just acted. Wouldn't it be nice if there were more people like him in this world.

And yes, the prizes rock!
