I have to write an opinion article about how dangerous it is that most people today are choosing the internet over books for information. So far, the only reason I can think of is
1- internet can be misleading, inaccurate, and out of date.

What else can I add?

Hello,

I was wondering, If a reporter with a camera runs up to you and tries to ask you questions is there a way to get them to not put any of it on the news report?
a clause anywhere or something where if you don't release your "interview"?
do they need your signature?

I know that there are a lot of people using this forum who have doubts about the McCanns and Gerry in particular, but I think the overall opinion in the UK leans more towards being sympathetic towards them. I don't think the majority of people believe that they harmed Maddie and the outrage at the fact of them leaving their 3 babies alone and unprotected isn't voiced because people feel sorry for them because of their great loss? What do all you folks think? I don't like Gerry at all. I find him cold and arrogant. I find it hard to believe that a loving father could start his blog up within days of Maddie's disappearance writing about mundane activities such as going jogging and having a haircut.

Well, I was In a Flea Market in Exeter, Pa when I stumbled upon what seemed to be like a picture of the Twin Towers. So, I bought it for $5 Dollars. I thought it was a good deal. Well, you probably thought the look on my face was pale when I took it out of the frame! It was the last draft, ORIGINAL! from the twin towers! It was stamped by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. and Signed BY the Architect. It was not a copy. It was a picture of the model of the Twin Towers. How much do you think it's worth?

The date for which work began, or ground was broken for the Pentagon was 9/11 1941.

That means it was exactly 60 years to the day of the strike.

Publicity and "media worship", trying to sell her image like "Aunt Jemima" hotcakes, or pancakes, to a gullible public killed Lady Diana. I reject conspiracy theories like Charles or Clinton "had a remote control controlling" Diana's limousine to make it crash are for me ridiculous. It was an accident caused by the same publicity. What do you think?

I really think that the media is a huge part of this problem. Cho mailed that tape to NBC knowing full well it would get blasted out there, and even though he died, he got what he wanted - these crazy people do these things for the negative attention and the media needs to quit giving it to them, and I think if they do quit these events will slow down.

I really believe people died because the media keeps blasting this stuff.

it's like a kid who misbehaves, usually if you ignore them they quit. If you give them negative attention they keep acting up. It's the same thing. These killers are just like spoiled little kids.

somebody please listen to me before more people die that don't have to die. Most likely people will die anyway - but a lot less people will die if the media quits doing this.

the media handled the V.Tech - Cho thing terribly. Hasn't anyone learned anything yet?

I find almost all news agencies refer to certain middle eastern cities as "the holy city of ...". Why do they do that? How do they know which are truly "holy" cities? For fair reporting shouldn't they say "the allegedly holy city of..."?

Is this just PC directed to Muslims that would never be afforded to Christians or Jews? When was the last time you saw a news paper or TV refer to "the Holy city of Jerusalem"?

Even in the USA we have cities named after saints (like San Francisco for St. Francis) but no one would ever say "the holy city of San Francisco"!

--most pronounced on the east coast in New York and New Jersey--in response to a radio broadcast put on by Orson Welles and his Mercury Theater On The Air. The public reaction has prompted decades of research into mass hysteria, been used as a model by the military around the world to design information warfare against enemy troops and civilian populace, Welles was a genius. He had people believing there was an invasion, then he turned around and told them that it was all a joke.

My question is this: are people too smart to believe such foolishness these days? It seems people of the 30's must have been fairly stupid and gullible.

My fiance says I'm a nut to believe anything bad that I hear/read (he's Jewish). My friend is from Egypt and has told me a few things that haven't been made the news here.

I do know that I have seen a documentary of 2 soldiers killing a woman in front of her 2 kids because she was not cooperating (inside their home). Afterwards they interviewed the soldiers and they said "I don't feel bad for it, I don't have to justify it".

But, Israeli's do have to be a bit nuts to live where they do. Sandwiched between crazy countries!
