I do not think she should attend because she was one or maybe the only reason for the breakdown of Charles' marriage. I do not know if the Queen actually intervened but a little noise would have ensured that she was invited but refused on the grounds given now

The Queen did not ban her, but i think it right that she does not attend, Diana would be turning in her grave.

I don't think HMTQ would be able to impose an outright ban on CPB attending. I'm willing to bet, though, that she and Old Man Phil gave her some good advice. It would be bad for the Family's, and her own, image and seen as disrespectful to Diana's memory by the public.

I do not believe the Queen has the right to ban anyone from anything. but I believe the younger Mrs Windsor was poorly advised to even think about attending the service.
