We rely on news sources in a democracy. But the Supreme Court, in a Florida case involving Fox News, decided that it is NOT a crime to report false news.
Should it be? If it can be proved?

The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.

Witnesses have stated that Britney Spears's car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll.

Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether she was driving under the influence.

Memorial services for Britney Spears have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.

I know it was enivitable that the media was going to get hold of Steve Wright's name but should they be allowed to publish it? I think it's highly likely that both men in custody for the Suffolk killings will be released at the end of the week. Shouldn't they wait until someone is charged before releasing names?
