Is there too much sport on tv and in the newspapers.
With tv you can switch off ,But with a newspaper you have bought pages of sport that maybe your not interested in and wont read.

Yes, I agree, I hardly ever read the sports pages. I think people who are obsessed with sport, probably don't read the rest of the newspaper. They probably buy the tabloids, Mirror, Sun, etc. I always think that it is rather sad to see older men reading the sports pages. It is as though they are trying to recapture their youth. They really should have moved on to politics, current events, etc. That is why I could never enjoy a pint with them, because that is all they talk about. Usually football. I would die of boredom.

Yes, well if there is too much, it's our fault for watching sporting events, buying their products, and reading papers that we think have too much coverage. The various sports are becoming bigger business every year, because we want two things: to be entertained, and to escape the pressing issues of life. When even poker can be found on TV most evenings, there must be some general decay occuring in a culture.

If change is what people want, they can get it by either boycotting sporting events and sports merchandise, or by starting up their own news sources that make no mention of sports. Both are quite daunting propositions, and likely to fail, but if it is a matter of convictions, then go for it, as in the information age it should be easier to find like-minded people than ever before.

You mean because there is usually one page of world news but a 10 page sports section? Yes, there is too much sports coverage, and I think the whole concept of sports has been blown way out of proportion.

Yes, way to much garbage for those extremely over paid baby's that loose their tempers and fight so much, that's why so many people watching that stuff have the mentality of Bush, same class of junk
