I am doing a school report on how the Canadian Forces are finally putting money into recruiting people and raising its numbers, the only bit of info. I've managed to find was from Mcleans magizine. Its surprisingly hard to find info. on this topic. Anyone have some sites or input.. would help alot!

Newspapers, and particularly broadsheet newspapers in the UK are often described as being Right wing or Left wing, depending on the political sympathies of their editors and therefore their readership. My question is which ones are which?

When that horrible even occured 9/11 during all the media presentations, I heard something which I dont know if it was just a rumor or what? I heard that on one of the front page covers of the L.A. TIMES(i believe it was the la times) they show the twin towers burning and in the cloud of smoke it looks like you can see an evil or demonic face whith in the smoke. Has anyone ever heard this and if so where online, book or old news paper clipping can I see this? thank you

As I mentioned before, in Israeli media Internet websites it is possible "for any reader" to post a comment. Before is is posted, however, the commenter is "warned", that not all comments would be published, and "comments which are offensive or inappropriate would not be published". In http://ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3332021,00.html there is an article about some "Russian spy" (in fact someone who happened to be from Russia, and has ties with "New Russian" Berezovsky-or some other "new Russian"-and probably with Chechen Rebels too), who was allegedly poisoned, maybe by Russia (maybe not, and I don't care). Inappropriate & offensive comments 12,14 & 15 call for the "annihilation"-God forbid-"of Russia". So why do people ask why the world is "sleeping" and doing nothing against Iran, and nobody asks why doesn't the world doing anything against the Israeli media?

When is the public going to realize that our mainstream media in the West is really a corporate media and very much controlled by Zionist Jews? I am baffled as to why the play My Name Is Rachel Corrie should be considered controversial. Here's a woman who was bulldozed to death in yet another routine act of crime against humanity by the state of Israel. This question will probably be mainly for people living within the UK as I'm not sure if what Im looking for was available anywhere else!

Thing is im studying advertising at uni at the min and inparticular the Honda Cog advert from about 3 years back ( if you havent see the advert its worth taking the time to look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGngcQb_0qg )

But the reason im asking for all your help is because Honda produced a free DVD with the advert on and a short documentary etc on it and I am looking to get my hands on one of these DVDs - so if any of you out there have a copy please please please respond to this question

Making your own life choices?

I find the idea of Fox, taping some lectures a bit disturbing but thats just me. Do you really care if some teacher lean left and other lean right.

I certainly, had no problem that I had one very influencial very left wing teacher and another rather right wing one and they both made me think. My feeling is that the best ideas survive and the b.s. in a free society eventually falls flat.

I have never claimed, nor would I, that the media is liberal or conservative. In some cases there might be a bias presented, perhaps often, but I shall not paint a broad stroke over it. With that disclaimer out of the way, why exactly do people think ownership proves bias? Do people really believe it is impossible for the product to not reflect its owners ideology? The ownership argument makes no sense to me. It looks like people are using associations as proof, and exaggerating their quality as evidence.

Am I the only one that thinks the ownership argument is weak and highly flawed?
