I'm currently typing a story about a futuristic World War III seen from the eyes of a British SAS soldier. What do I put in it? I'm running out of ideas. If you would like to read what I have so far go to www.freewebs.com/brigadiergeneralbui
There you'll see a WWIII section. Here's an excerpt:
September 8, 2087
The Chinese battlion started their attack while I was writing in my journal. That's why the last entry was cut short. The attack started with a typical mortar barrage which eventually truned into a storm. About half an hour later, the cybers, tanks, and foot troops started charging towards our position, swarming us like flies around a dead cow. We immediately grabbed our rifles and machine guns and started to pump them full of lead. The slaughter was terrible and gruesome. It looked like they were coming out of no where, popping out of the grounds like daisies in spring. The constant stream of bellowing troops and banzai attacks was a seemingly endless ocean.
