I thought the exact same thing last night.

O'Reilly is not in charge of distracting Americans however. He is after ratings and has done a lot of good, like exposing the 911 charities.
I like O'Reilly, but I agree with you here. I thought it was ridiculous. They have been making slasher movies for years and we're still here!
Unless you are a complete moron, slasher movies are almost comical in a way.
I saw the original Omen last weekend, 1976, 30 years ago. That was evil and scary.
Bill needs to drop this one, he really looks like he's reaching for a story.

It was a Halloween topic on Halloween. The horror films of Hollywood has gone from the 'suspenseful scary type' from the Vincent Price Boris Karloff days to 'how much blood and gore can you take?' like the Halloween Flicks, nightmare on elm street, and the Saw movies. As people get familiar with special effects, the industry tries to improve upon the technology to give the audience something they have not seen before. The question on wither or not seeing violence on the screen (in all it's gory detail) anesthetize the views so they are more complacent above violence in real life, or whets their appetite so they want to see more violence is a legitimate one.

Distracting people. Actually, a lot of what the current administration says is used to distract people. It's kind of like a magic act with deceptions to pull that rabbit out of a hat.

What he is really saying is that parents aren't involved enough in their childrens lives and he wants us to help by taking things out of the main stream that children shouldn't be involved in or witness. I think we should spend more time showing parents how to be good parents.

That Bill O'Reilly's opinion carries any weight is a sad testament to American culture.

I was going to say at least he isn't on the democrats for a while...
Why do people pay attention to his ilk anyway?? He is obviously one sided...doesn't tell the whole story, just leans it his way.
