I know that I have been addicted to news and the presidential elections ever since I was 5 y.o. and now I have 3 grown children. I even like C-Span, and watch programs that bash Bush and the US government. In other words, I watch a balanced coverage of the news. I have subscribed to news magazines since I was 17, many years ago. I write letters to the editor. My cousins have either been elected or appointed to some very high federal offices in this country. So, it may be in my blood to be well-informed politically. My grandfather was a personal friend of Sam Rayburn of TX. My husband wishes that I would not be so pro-active, but I come from a long line of public servants of all stripes and parties. You would be surprised, but some some of my cousins' legal opinions still have much power over our daily lives today!

Is anyone else fed up with the absolute dross that the main channels are airing? If it's not reality TV programs it's car boot sale, property selling/buying, celebrity love island/big brother/dancing/singing/ ice-skating/horse riding/ fat club/get me outta here. Is the intellect in the UK really so low that we're happy with this constant bombardment of low-grade programming? What about the TV license - isn't it about time it was done away with in favour of a fairer system where we don't have to pay for something we don't want to watch as we do with the other TV channels?

Why is it the media will show footage from Lebanon of children crying and people mourning the death of someone, but when they show footage of Israel it's always of troops or a tank or missle launcher?

What a way for the terrorists to get their messages across the world so their buddies know when and where to attack. Free media services, or just a message board for the terrorists?

The way they broadcast from every where in the war scenes, letting evryone know IT" A DIRECT HIT ON THESE POSITTIONS FROM BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. just kinda lets the terrorists know they hit a good spot and keep firing away at it. Kinda puts our Military at a higher risk. and kind interferes with our efforts to kill them?

Why don't they just dig him out of the rocks and let us kill him. That's the kind of news they ought to be reporting. not some stupid biography of him. I think they know where he is, but are afraid that if he's caught they won't have anything left to worship him over.

The way that the news especisly C.N.N. keeps blasting his stupid face all over the screan, and advertising their stupid premier of In The Footsteps of Bin Laden, They act like he is to be worshiped and praised for his actions, they should just give him movie star status now and say he's the new rising star of C.N.N. news.

The arrests of the terrorists in England has once again brought home the real danger we all face from fanatical Muslim killers.

The N.Y. Times and Liberals oppose most information gathering techniques used by the Bush administration. Things like phone surveillance by the NSA of suspected overseas calls, and coerced interrogation of captured terror suspects.

The far left wing liberal New York Times editorialized today: "We want to understand as much as possible about what the terrorists were planning. It would be so much better if we could do that by giving every benefit of the doubt to these muslims and protect their Rights ."

Then I read the right wing editorial page at The Wall Street Journal which said this, "The London terror plot was foiled because a large number of people were under surveillance concerning their spending, travel and communications. Which leads us to wonder if Scotland Yard would have succeeded if the ACLU or The New York Times got wind of this operation

i'd like to know what you think.
me- i thought wallace's body language and patronizing tone made for one of the most unprofessional, most biased peice of journalism i've seen and only reinforces the u.s. image of a population that is ignorant and self-righteous.

i give props to ahmmedinejad- he's trying to be diplomatic- and he's right. the u.s. needs to tone it down a bit. as the saying goes, "you get more flies with honey than vinegar"
