It has been shown by Seymour Hersh(found Abu Graib story) that there were meetings between the white house and israel in April. It is clear the US gave its go ahead. The munitions came from the US.The style of destruction look so much like when the US entered Iraq,The so called"shock and awe" approach. The only way to fight a guerrilla group that is so widely scattered with a conventional army is to destroy everything.I think the US inspired this plan, way before any kidnapping. It has to do with an Iran attack idea of this administration.

Your question implies that the US tells Israel what to do. I have an opinion that it is the other way around. The relationship is kind of like a materialistic step mom (USA) to her mean little step-child (Israel). The step mom wants to keep the relationship with the stepchild based on the husband's (Zionist owned HUGE corporations) wealth. She will put up with the stepchild's crap as long as that kid's daddy keeps her pocketbook lined. The US owes a lot of it's wealth to Zionist owned corporations. Therefore, thru lobbyist groups such as AIPAC, the government is played like a puppet on strings when it comes to the matter of Israel. Israel could bomb America and the US would come up with an excuse to justify it.

Probably -- America supports Israel. It's not so much as indiscriminately, but maybe without restraint.

Israel does not look to US for permission... they do what they want and let their Jewish lobby handle the US policy and key people.
