I definitely agree, but am saddened to see how so many people couldn't care less.

There is a widespread agreement among scientists that man is to blame. Our CO2 emissions, ranging from cars and airplanes, gas & electricity all are contributing to a planet that is heating up.

Methane (doesnt last as long as CO2, but is TWENTY times stronger) from our MEAT farms, and from natural sources is also to blame. So it would definitely help if we all pushed strongly for renewable energy in the near future, had a greater public transportation system, were more conscious about our individual impacts (http://www.climatecrisis.net/takeaction/)...and if we all adopted vegetarian lifestyles as well.

I fear we don't have much time left in our planet to change course. Global warming isn't caused by man alone (there are natural processes that release methane and CO2), but it'd be foolish to stop contributing to global warming when we could do so.

Now the question: is what are the next steps?

There was a news story on the front page of Yahoo about a white bus driver who made 9 black students sit at the back of her bus. When I tried to recommend the story I was given a blank page. However, it never registered my vote/recommendation. And I couldn't find a Contact Us link to notify anyone. Weird huh?

My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Will lovemaking feel different? i've heard you can tell the difference. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

Today they've declared the once planet Pluto to be a dwarf planet. Do you think this is a good idea or just dumb since the schools have to reteach and rewrite the textbooks which will take decades for school systems that are already on tightened budgets because of political thinking like this might be? Opinions and debates are welcomed.

Why do we take our orders from Israel? Next time they want an Iraqi dictator taken out, should they do it themselves?

Seriously - I can't understand it - Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.... and plus so many black people are religious -- or at least they're religious and know how to "get some church up in here" on Sundays...

Isn't it someone who claims to believe in something he doesn't
really believe in? And aren't the majority of people hypocrites by
proxy? In that they are only "parroting"? Repeating what they hear?
And they never take time to discover what they are supposed to believe? Or whatever their supposed field of expertise?
So, all you "Agnostics", "Pagans", "Christians", and assorted
"Experts"! Do your HOMEWORK!
The floor is open for thoughtful, or " whiney baby" responses.

I think by now, Americans understand that we're committed when it comes to the war on terror and finishing what we started in Iraq. Tax dollars, man hours, and lives. We are up to our noses in committment in our attempts to turn war torn Iraq's infrastructure into a state of semblence. Just the other day, President Bush said that the war in Iraq is talking a toll on America's pysche. But we're also committed to building a free Iraq. Having said that, he now wants to recall Marine reservists for yet another tour in Iraq? Committed, committed, committed. I hate that word. It's high time for the Iraqi leadership, and the Iraqi government to get off their rear, act like they got a pair, and start running their own friggin' country. I'm sure that there are Iraqi citizens who want nothing more than to rid themselves of Americans so that they can start living their own lives, free of Marines, and Soldiers patrolling their streets. I'm not sure how you feel or if you even care?

We pay council tax like other people monthly. This years council tax runs from 1st April 2006 until 31st March 2007.
We recently missed one payment which was for August 2006 which should have been paid on the 1st of August. We haven't missed a payment before and then today we recieved a summons to appear in court next month. The right to pay bye installments has been withdrawn and they want full payment for the year ended 31st march 2007 up front. e.g £1000
Is it us or does this seem harsh to you good people?????
