"was convicted of helping perpetuate one of the most sprawling business frauds in U.S. history, has died of a heart attack in Colorado.".....
~"Lay, who faced life in prison, was scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 23." ...
his death seems a little too convinient....besides he had billions of dollars stashed away...what do you think?

I have read a lot of material that states that the USA seems to be inconsistent in its attitudes to foreign policy. Lets look at the period since WW II.

I have been told, and it seems to be true, that the USA is not acting on any consistent moral principles, or taking genuine action to right wrongs, but rather acting in its own interests.

I am not just interested in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also Israel, Nicaragua, South Africa, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, the Balkan Wars.

Even in WW II the USA seemed not to act on principles of justice or morality. Why did they join so late?

Americans talk about how they've been wronged with 9/11, but when the country decided to go to war, it never asked itself, "Why would anyone hate the US enough to bomb a skyscraper in NY?" If it knew the answer to this, the US might actually be able to make progress in this war instead of making people angrier at them.

What do you think? Why would anyone hate the US so much?

All governments monitor the internet, particularly important websites like this one. Your messages WILL get back to him, even if in a condensed format. If you wish, tell him what you think about his missiles and threats to destroy the United States of America.

When will the U.S. show them what long range missiles can really do? Will the international community be involved?

America said Iraq posed an immeninent threat to the U.S. because it had "Weapons of Mass Destruction" which Saddam Hussein denied, and which turned out to be true. There were no WMD.
At that same time N. Korea was saying it had nuclear weapons or was working on them.

Now Iran is saying it will not stop Enriching Uranium, and North Korea just fired 7 MISSLES!!! into the ocean. One that was capable of reaching U.S. soil.

BUT WE DON'T ATTACH THEM?!?!? Why the hell not? The double standard and hypocrisy is mind blowing.

Please explain.

North Korea's missle testing today has me thinking about how much it sucks that we have to deal with this stuff in today's society. I know North Korea is just craving attention and isn't actually going to launch the missiles at anyone (well, I sure as hell hope not, anyway) but it just has me thinking about how much today's world sucks. Over the past couple years you've had events like 9/11 and Katrina. Our soldiers, God bless 'em, are dying in far-off parts of the world. We're dealing with so many threats that we had to make a "Color-Coded Terror Alert System." Dictators in other countries are possibly developing nuclear weapons. TV ads tell us to make sure we know what to do with our kids and family "if something serious happened." I mean, this sucks. The world's had worse times, but that doesn't mean that this time isn't pretty damn depressing. We live in a world where, let's face it, we really don't know what's gonna happen. Is anyone else feeling as gloomy as me at the moment?

I've been hearing about these tested-missles in the seas of Japan, and can't help but think that their is some instability in their government... and especially with a president like G. W Bush, the war mongrel, i feel that war is very close... do you think a draft could be considered?
