Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has suggested an end to the trading of oil in US dollars, calling the currency "a worthless piece of paper".
The call came at the end of a rare Opec summit, and was opposed by US ally Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian president had wanted to include the attack on the dollar in the summit's closing statement.

A compound found in cannabis may stop breast cancer spreading throughout the body, US scientists believe.
The California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute team are hopeful that cannabidiol or CBD could be a non-toxic alternative to chemotherapy.
Unlike cannabis, CBD does not have any psychoactive properties so its use would not violate laws, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics reports.
The authors stressed that they were not suggesting patients smoke marijuana.
They added that it would be highly unlikely that effective concentrations of CBD could be reached by smoking cannabis

whats your take on this

The Euro is the strongest of the major currencies. The British pound is stronger than the dollar but the Euro is stronger than both. Should Britain be a part of that strength and join the Euro.

In Italy they kill thousands of black cats (poor kitties) due to superstition that black cats are unlucky

Black Cat Day has been introduced by animal rights campaigners to stop the cull.

I think it's a brilliant idea.

60,000 cats were killed last year alone.

The American Right attacked Iraq for one reason and one reason only: to control the oil fields and stop OPEC switching to Euros which would screw the American economy; the attack was both an attempt to control the oil fields and toi serve as a warning lest any middle east "dare" switch it's currency reserves away from US dollars. Saudis are the only country still backing the US in this use of brutaility and intimidation, Iran and other OPEC countries are calling for switch to Euros, and why not?? why get paid crap when you can get Euros?

This journalist compares the case to the McCann case, in part she says:
"We are hopelessly callous, we the public – and I include journalists – who watch these slow-motion tragedies of lost children unfold as if for our amusement. We who judge the parents for the way they look and the amount of pain they can articulate. But grief is not a television sport; and there is no external measurement for the way in which it kills people, both mentally and physically. Poor Janette Hamilton just died a bit quicker than most, that was all."
