Would any mother speak out for her child innocent or not?

Most mothers would.
When Kate McCann's Mum, Madeleine's Grandma spoke out...she was accused of turning a blind eye to her daughter's neglect, wasn't she? Robert Murat lived with his Mum. He has said that "she helps him out"...Theres a close bond there. Good for them. Naturally, she would believe in her sons's innocence. And just like the McCanns he is innocent.......... till proved otherwise.

Murats mother is in her late 70's or early 80's. She was probably asleep by 9 pm. How does she know what Robert did while she was sleeping?

It is very possible that Murat made sure hhis mother knew where he was, or thought he was, because he knew he would need an alibi.

I think Mrs. Murat believes her son is innocent, however, I think ultimately she is going to be the one who finds the missing link that leads to his arrest and conviction.

It's just speculation on my part, arm chair sluething, but I just have a creepy feeling about Mr. Murat. I hope the investigation stays focused on him.

The lady has every reason to be angry, her son is slated by the British gutter press whist the sanctify the McCanns.Those two have a lot to answer for in the hopefuly near future. Mr. Murat is in the position that he is in due to the manipulations and smokescreens of The Terrible Two and their supporters in the media, big business and even our government !
