As you all probably know,my main account was suspended 1 week ago today (sob, sob).I keep getting emails saying you need to choose best answer (which i can't do,ooops keeps appearing).
Right my question is:
The community has picked best answers for my questions,so do the recipients still get the 10 points or is yahoo wasting time and effort with the emails, they must know they killed me off,so why keep sending me yahoo answer stuff.

I don't think they award 10 points when the community give best answer. I get confused over how they award points. Sometimes when I log in it says Whoa, you have earned 15 points but it doesn't say why. Other times I log in and it says that I've been deducted points (3 guesses why that is).

Even though your account was suspended it's still live but at Yahoo's end. If you are appealing the suspension they will still keep it live for when they reinstate your account.

I get confused easily with Yahoo Answers!

Hi busy. Yes, they still get the ten points. In the email telling them, what question they have gotten ten points for, it says, chosen by voters. If, like Tabby, you get 15 points, it means that the question, got 5 stars. So when you star a question, you give the best answer an extra point. The asker doesn't benefit at all. Hope that is clear. XX.

Edit: Hi Welshy. XX

Sorry it is the T.U you get extra points for. If you have a star, it might go to the top of the page, to be viewed by all.

Moroning Bee :0).They still get the ten points. And an extra point for every thumbs up.I know this cos I just earned 13 points for a Q Shambo asked on his old account.Good job we don't lose a point for every thumbs down isn't it?
We'd end end up owing points.lol

Its awful that your account was suspended. Can't think of a single reason why it should've happened. Not fair at all. Trust you to be upbeat about it.

thats a question, I had never thought of that!
I'd ring em up and ask em to stop stalking you unless they are going to reinstate your account!
