Two of my friends have had major tragedies this last few weeks. My friend Billy's wife died from he radio show water intoxication death and my best friends uncle, who she was very close to, was the pilot of the helicopter that was shot down in Iraq. They both have been all over the news and there are blogs and opinions everywhere. I feel like the world is out of control right now and people close to me are being hurt. Does anyone have any suggestions for focusing this negative energy into something positive? Maybe something really creative and that would honor the people that have been lost.

I was watching the NBC Nightly News in the UK via CNBC Europe when during the headlines they said that they would be talking about the trial of a suspected terror group in London, the signal was replaced with a message suggesting that CNBC Europe was unable to show the pictures. Is there a reason why this was the case?

on his re-election to represent Massachusetts as their junior senator, will

1- he change his mind next week...or
2- the people of Massachusetts believe him and re-elect him...or
3- he finally return the $8,352,685 to his supporters left over from his 2004 defeat ?

In 2004, over 171,154 Americans donated $328,479,245 and countless hours of time to help John Kerry get elected President.

John Kerry? He’s still hanging on to $8,352,685 of their money.

a color when it is in reference to a pot and not in reference to a race ?? Isn't that what democrats ( and hilary clinton leading THE CAUSE) are trying to achieve in stifling the Internet ? In a Yahoo! Answers legitimate question about Hilary Clinton's background - which referenced her study under Saul Alinsky- a quote was used with no remote reference or derogatory hint of any race . It was not to flatter madame Clinton - and therefore was censored - most likely under the pretense of a technicality in a mere color used in a quote to prove a point . Is this a prelude to censorship if a liberal democrat gets elected to the Oval Office ?

By failing to celebrate their 24th birthdays in Canada - Canadians may have unknowingly lost their citizenship?

An obscure provision in that nation's Citizenship Act — on the books from 1947 to 1977 — automatically stripped citizenship from Canadians who celebrated their 24th birthday outside the country within those dates without signing the proper form, CBC News said
Porteous is part of a group called the Lost Canadians, a group that may be as large as 20,000 — many of whom have no idea that they've lost their citizenship.
The Canadian government has moved to fast track the reinstatement of citizenship for the Lost Canadians.

It's always something, isn't it? Big friggin' deal!!!!!!! There's two black coaches in the Super Bowl. I'm a Bear's fan and from day one I could care less what color Lovie Smith is. We just want a Super Bowl. Maybe if the media, tv and bums like Jessie Jackson didn't run around trying so hard to keep racism the main issue of every little thing that happens in this country it wouldn't be such an issue.............I mean really, I never seen the news bring up "the first african-american to clean a windshield with a stolen gas station squiggee" so why every other god d**m event?????
