Did not mean anything bad about that and there are plenty of Muslim women who are not oppressed like that. Why doesn't the "Muslim Community" Speak Out Louder Against it? I don't hear it and my head is not in a hole.

I`m a muslim woman, don`t wear a burka, I drive, I vote, I speak out, and whether I`m a virgin or not is really none of your business. If I were to believe even half of what is said about Islam these days, I wouldn`t want to be a muslim myself. But I know better, and I`ll ask you to not portray muslim women as some kind of helpless creatures without a future. If you are serious about learning what women get out of islam, check out these websites, or actually get to know one. (we don`t bite). If you don`t really want to know, please stop asking such misleading questions and leave us in peace. We`re not bugging you, so don`t tell lies about us.

Jenny has a point. In those countries where women are socially oppressed, the non-Muslims do the same thing as the Muslims.
