Since last night(when Saddam Hussien died), the current events section of Yahoo Answers was FILLED with questions either about Saddam's execution or anything else about Saddam. Why are people so eager to get the execution videotape or watch the tape?

Did Saddam's killing resolve anything? Does it compensate for not finding Osama Bin Laden? Will Saddam's killing start more trouble than it was intended to resolve? What right has any man to take the life of another man? Is capital punishment democracy or disguised dictatorship?

...(remember them?) along with other American (and British) soldiers who decided to hide their fear of Iraq via violence and 'punishment' of their own on petty thieves etc. who used any which way to survive the macho inexperience of the Western boys & girls (who wanted to show the boys they also could play the game) in uniform, when in fact it was the only way they could cover their fear - like cornered cats and lash out...even though 75% their prisoners were as much 'terrorists' as Lynndie England (remember her also) was English.

Result? Soldiers were either jailed for what is called 'sh.it and a shave' (id est; anything between 6 and 18 months), while others were quietly demoted...result indeed!

As for Iraq - well...despite Saddam's passing away, it may be argued that it's the same as it ever was. We are ordered almost to remember Saddam's evil - but the 'power' of the West came not entirely with maturity or morals.

If Bush thinks it is ok for him to assinate other soverign countries leaders then Bush himself can and should be assinated as well. Bush's policies are a threat to humankind and earth through pollution, greed, hatred and ignorance.

Yes he was a bad man. Everybody knows that.
But will it solve the mess in Iraq? Will it bring his victims back to life? Does it change the fact the Bush administration bungled the whole thing from the start?

Do you think that he should have been executed? I don't understand what's the big rush for executing him anyway, when the one they should be looking for is Bin Laden. Has the US given up on looking for him?
