Saddam will be hanged for killing sone hundreds of people who was against his regime. The question is How many Iraqies and US troops are dead because of an unjustified war started, leaded and supported by Bush? Besides, killing him will raise the anti-US feelings on the middle east. Bush is an idiot and should be hamged beside Saddam, his former good friend.

You can watch the video up to the point where he is hanged. They suddenly stop recording at that point. The video is clear and you can see him and the executioners in great detail.
They record again after the body is removed from the gallows. The video is poor quality and you cannot tell if it really is him or not. His face is covered with a cloth except for his nose and parts of his eyes.
Why did they stop the video before the actual execution when they had declared they would show it on TV?
Why is video so poor after he is removed from the gallows?
Why is so much of his face covered that you cannot see him well enough to identify him on TV?
What are the chances that is was really one of his look-alikes who was executed - one who was willing to sacrifice himself for his beliefs?
Someone as rich as Saddam would have easily made a deal with the government to "look the other way" as he left the country in exchange for all his wealth being left behind.

I think that Sadaam Hussein killed millions of people, and scared people into submission. He was a deeply ill individual and I'll never understand his personal belief system. I feel like he got what was coming to him, but that doesn't erase his death as an event or something that people will remember. Osama Bin Laden is presumed dead and yes, people are still looking for him, but we can't only deal with so many terrorists at once. All of the Afghani terrorists that we have imprisoned are going to trial for their crimes. Instead of dwelling on what hasn't happened, I choose to be excited for the positive things that are happening.

I don't believe Saddam should've been executed. Although he was apparently a very evil man who killed thousands, I think he should've been sentenced to life in prison. Being caught by the Americans was already disgraceful enough for him. Executing Saddam might be justice for some but it won't accomplish anything. There are still Saddam loyalists. It won't help Iraq. There will still be fighting and bloodshed in Iraq long after Saddam's death!

Yes he should have been executed because he was found guilty and sentenced in an Iraqi court. Bin Laden has nothing to do with this nor does the US.

Someone had to die to satisfy the media, and unfortunately that was a man who deserved to rot in jail. Killing him only satisfies us--he probably would have preferred to die quickly instead of having to sit in prison until he dies of old age. That's the best I can come up with. There had to be a reason that a civil war was created by the American troops.
I find it insulting that he was executed on the first day of Eid Al-Adha. That's like executing Bush on Christmas.

Absolutely unacceptable, I was a supporter of President Bush but no more. I can understand soldiers killed in battle, innocent people as collateral damage, people taking justice in their own hands and even an established society like the US having capital punishment but going into a country to capture a former president to hand him over to be executed, to me it just means that we deserve everything that can happen in the future.

He was just another dispensable puppet of the Americans, like Osama Bin Laden, they will surely find somebody else in power to manipulate.

Ithink he got what he deserved. He could have taken his billions of dollars and fled the country and hid out in South America like some of the Nazi war criminals.
