The head of MI5 has recently said that they are tracking some 30 terrorist plots within the UK which cocern 1600 suspects. Why can't we just round up these pieces of crap and put them on a plane or better still against a wall and shoot them before they blow us all up?

I heard on the news today that the UK Government is thinking of raising the school leaving age to eighteen.
What would this achieve, and what other surprises are the Labour Party going to come up with before they lose power.
They seem to be on a self destruct mission.

Backside firework prank backfires
A man suffered internal burns when he tried to launch a rocket from his bottom on Bonfire Night.
Paramedics found the 22-year-old bleeding, with a Black Cat Thunderbolt Rocket lodged inside him, when they attended the scene in Sunderland.

He suffered a scorched colon and is now recovering in hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

A spokesman for the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said the prank could have been fatal.

Douglas McDougal, from the NEAS, said: "We received a call stating there was a male who had a firework in his bottom and it was bleeding.

"He sustained fairly significant injuries in the fact that there's huge damage to that particular area."

'Beyond belief'

Mr McDougal added: "Potentially it could have been a fatal incident.

"There's a lot of major blood vessels round that area, so infection would probably be a huge problem for him.

"And also the body naturally produces methane gas, so combine that with the firework and the exploding effect with methane's flammability - it certainly could have been a lot worse than it really was."

A spokesman for the Firework Association described the bizarre prank as "beyond belief".

He said: "We have spent a long time working with the government to create laws that make fireworks safer and better for the public.

"This incident is very concerning but hopefully an isolated one."

Northumbria Police said they were aware of the incident, which happened in the Dame Dorothy Street area of Monkwearmouth, but are understood not to be carrying out further inquiries

Molestation is abhorrent to civilization yet the media has almost free reign to influence all age groups. Of course phyical molestation is against the law but apparently mental molestation does not have the same gravity. How can one deny the influence of the media with billions of advertising dollars. I know "Where do you draw the line."

(the killing of 6 children and 8 women) and you guys said that these people were harbouring terrorists? ha, your mistaken...it was a "technical error" and it had nothing to do with terrorism...

and you guys immidietly jumped to the conclusion "o, they were supporting terrorists"....which, as this news shows, only shows your ignorance on the matter and your biased support of Israel.

However, I commend Israel for reaching out and recognizing their mistake, I respect them a lot more for that action and everybody shoudl take note that this is a very positive gesture (for all of you fanatic psychotic idiots)

here is the news---glory to Israel for this gesture:

This question is asked in honor of Ed Bradley -- who probably deserves to be somewhere near the top of that list.

Most tv newscasters read stories given them by other reporters. Others simply report what others are reporting. Too many just say what they're supposed to say. Ed Bradley brought us stories that otherwise we would never have heard. That's true news. That's what journalists are supposed to be about.

What other names would you add to that list?

well....the western media will script you this logic:

o my god, look at the poor israelis! everyone hates them and do not even recognize their right to exist...they are only defending their citizens....

but this is a more neutral view:

since the conception of Israel...the arab states retaliated...not because they inherently wanted israel and its people off the map...but the injustice of TAKING AWAY palestinian land, and giving it to the Israelis....just 'because'...

This was interpreted as injustice and what started the animosty...the anti-semitic hatred also played a role becaues they didn't like that "a bunch of jews" would just take arab land unjustly...

since then...Israel has marginalized a people (palestinians), not recognizing THEIR RIGHT TO EXIST....since 1945...Israelis have marginalized and oppressed palestinians to a very small peice of land for the relative population (in fact, the largest ratio of people to land in the world!).

2006-11-09 16:27:24 · 5 answers · asked by Anonymous in Current Events

I hope this does not offend anyone, because that is my intention. I have spoken to Israeli and Palestine people regarding the conflict in Israel. I understand that both sides have very passionate views.

The more I hear, the more confused I am getting. I would really love to hear from 'neutral' people what they believe is the reason for the conflict and how you feel that it could be solved.

I am doing a report on how the media is bias when giving news. The problem is I don't watch the news or read papers. I need a specific case that shows this bias, If anyone can help me that'd be great. A website that explains or contains that article would be the most helpful.

I have heard that the original target for Timothy McVeigh was a building in Des Moines, IA. Reportedly, McVeigh entered the building in Des Moines to "case" the building. McVeigh supposedly decided not to bomb the building because a janitor made eye contact with McVeigh, causing McVeigh to believe that the janitor suspected him. I personally do not believe this, and have found no indication that this is true. Has anyone heard this?

Does anyone else here buy her propaganda?? Because lets face, she doesn't have any consistent facts about anything! The woman spews filth from her mouth and believes it as she makes it up. I really loved it when she appeared on "The Fifth Estate" and journalist Bob McKeown just slaughtered her on national television; revealing her as the 'Fact-less Conservative Jezebel she really is!!! It was absolutely amazing, for once the tables were turned and someone was able to shut her the hell up, or least get her to trip up over herself on TV. Just absolutely brilliant I tell you... BRILLIANT!

Go Democrats!!
