Well--I'm not sure what they call it in the U K --but in the U S A it is known as due process....
It is what keeps an individual whose name has gotten onto a list by accident or oversight somewhere from suffering undue penalty for having been associated with people or activity that they don't actually have ties to.......
Also--suspect activities and associations play out to be untrue or just plain wrong a good deal of the time
The marshall law direct ---shoot the bastards down in the streets thing works for some people until someone they know winds up on a list unjustly and is yet herded into an open field somewhere and summarially shot because of mistaken identity or a list that was simply wrong !!!
Shipping people like this out of country-- when they ARE at the activities you have described is a really bad idea-- because these same people are still in play where ever you send them and you can pretty much accept that they'll be back to haunt you again just as soon as they can get new identities and get back into your country !!!
I have always maintained a view that lengthy prison terms for people is a great way to keep them out of the mix !! And why the governments find it difficult to prosecute individuals for thier shear membership in groups that advocate wholesale slaughter as a first class felony is beyond me--- the shear fact that they are members of such a group denotes their intentions to do irrepairable harm....and thus a criminal act against the social order and public welfare !!!!!

Becoz I think it would wiser that MI5 keep tabs on these suspects until they have proof/evidence that they are terrorists in the first place. I dont think Blair or the Scotland Yard/MI5 would want another dead innocent guy(s) on their bloody hands....yes? Remember the one that was shot soon after the tube blasts in London?. Embarrasing & Sick to say the least!!

Because they are British citizens, dummy. Blair had better follow through and attempt to tackle the inequalities in the Middle East and other root causes of terrorism before one plot finally comes to fruition again.
We need to ask WHY normal, educated human beings are able to be 'turned' in this way, and also what was Dame Eliza hoping to achieve with this very public statement? It can't have been made without the highest approval.
Who is messing with who?

You have beat me to it i was writing a question about that. Its a hard question to ask. I have some Muslim friends and they are great to get on with and hate the terrorists. It's a shame because the nutters let the side down for the rest of them.
As for a possible solution, i know this may sound bad we should deport the lot of them, all Muslims. Close our borders and shut up shop. After that we vet certain ones to re enter.
I do have faith in our secret service and I know they are doing a great job and after all good conquers evil.

We must respect their civil liberties and can only act once they have commited an offense. In the case of suicide bombers, I have it that the government will go to the heaven with all the virgins and bring back the suicide bomber for a trial. I think that's what the government said?

The first question should ask is if this statement is true? I find it terribly hard to believe that if MI6 or the CIA or who ever really knew where terror suspects were they would not act. How dumb does that sound. I think it is Blair/Bush keeping people scared.

Although not all Muslims are terrorists, just about all terrorists are Muslims. But it is not politically correct to act on that fact.
