I hate hearing that damn sound on the TV or radio. It's so creepy, especially at night. I was on the computer (on here actually lol) the other night and I was listening to the radio and they put it on and was freaking scary! The sound is so eerie!!!!

I was coming back from the grocery store, and was crossing a large bridge that's in my town and there was this guy siting on the edge of the bridge right in the middle. Lucky I got across because there where police cars at the bottom ready to close the bridge and there was a police officer talking to the guy from a distance.

Still don't know what happened, but have you ever seen anything like this, or ever seen anyone attempting to commit suicide? What was your reaction?

My friend is in the middle of reading a book about a famous (or maybe not so famous) kidnapping/murder/suicide in the 1960's. It was about a teenage boy named Egbert and he was really intelligent and obsessed w/ dungeons and dragons. He was telling me about the book and I wanted to know more about the case. Does anyone know what his full name is because I cant find any info on him. Thanks!

I have been following the news very closely for many years. It seems there is a direct correlation between reporting and violence. Here are two examples:
1) There is a shooting in a school and it is reported in the news. Soon after, there are more shootings in schools.
2) A terrible world event happens that is reported. Soon after, there are hate crimes committed to the ethnic group tied to the story.

Should news organizations be held accountable? At times, it feels like the situation that is reported leads to copy-cat crimes and violence. Do news agencies put ideas in people's heads? What is the responsibility of the news organizations?

**I recognize freedom of reporting and am not saying news organizations are bad or should be shut down.

A few days ago, my biology teacher told the whole class that there is a shark in Lake Pepin. He said that the force of Hurricane Katrina pushed some salt water up the Mississippi River, and a shark tagged along with it. He said that the people who discovered the shark didn't say anything until now, in fear of making people scared.

Could this possibly be true? I have a lake house on Lake Pepin...

I have to write an article analysis on an article written in the past two months that deals with a business dispute and am having bad luck finding a recent article. I'm not picky - anything dealing with employment law, contracts, accounting, intellectual property, etc. If you have a link to the article - that would be a lot of help. If not, I can google it and find an article, but appreciate any and all help on this. Thanks!
