I was coming back from the grocery store, and was crossing a large bridge that's in my town and there was this guy siting on the edge of the bridge right in the middle. Lucky I got across because there where police cars at the bottom ready to close the bridge and there was a police officer talking to the guy from a distance.

Still don't know what happened, but have you ever seen anything like this, or ever seen anyone attempting to commit suicide? What was your reaction?

While 'experiencing' hell type of situations around him, a person takes decision to commit suicide. He feels death will relieve him from the suffering he is facing now. But, can the person see the heaven doors opened for him while living? No answer. Under these circumstances if he takes the help of God and follow his teachings he can make a heaven out of hell. O.Kay!.

My one sister had to leave church before service ended, usually me and my 4 sisters walked together. Well Drema (the one that left early) walked by this car where this guy shot himself. She reported it and everything the guy was popular high school student. Mom said Drema was shaking and every kinda thing like that when she got home.
I thought about slashing my wrists during a particularly dark point in my life, the fact that I'm typing is evidence that I was unsuccessful. Which I am grateful for!!!

Yes.

When I was a kid, I remember riding my bike by some train tracks. I saw a guy just staring at the tracks, walking around them.

Later that night, on the news, a guys got hit by a train and died. It was the guy I saw earlier in the day.

YES !!! I was walking over a bridge near my residence, on a Friday night, coming from a movie theater, and came across this girl about 18 years of age. She was already hanging on to the railing of the bridge, on the opposite side of the railing's "safe" side, over the river. I was shocked to come across this scenerio and felt like ignoring the whole thing.
Something inside of me urged me to get involved ! So; I approached her slowly, and was talking with her. I asked her why she wanted to jump and hurt herself ! All the while, she was crying and I told her that if she jumped, I was coming after her! (I meant it too!)
She told me, that her boyfriend had "dumped" her at a party and was getting it on with another girl back at the party. I then, told her, life was just too precious to throw it away over some jerk of a guy . At the time, I didn't realize that I had tears streaming down my face and she looked at me ... right into my eyes ! ( I was single, young [19 years of age] and not too bad looking.) I couldn't focus on reality that she was going to jump, as it seemed like a dream to me. This girl was good looking, well dressed and wanted to end it that night with me looking on and talking with her!!! (She meant it and I knew it too!) Personally; I was scared for her. I tried not to let my voice quiver though. I went on and talked to her about having a future by not killing herself now [then, at the time]. She, had a change of heart and didn't want to kill herself no longer! I stepped forward and told her that I was going to grab her to keep her from slipping and falling. I began to pull her back over to the "safe side" of the bridge's railing. There was a noise behind both of us and I looked to find that her friends from the party were arriving on the scene. They said, that they were looking all over the neighbourhood, for her. I [she] ... we kissed and hugged for a brief moment while her friends stood by and wondered what was going on. She said "thank you for caring" and walked away with her friends. I never saw her again. I know that this sounds like a crock - but it's the truth !!! I will never forget this experience.
